For a while, "Brown Eyed Girl" was overplayed on the radio to the point of my not caring if I never heard it again. Nowadays, "Jack And Diane" is the most overplayed song on the radio (although I never really took a shining to that song in the first place).

The trouble with this is, that some tosser comes into your pub with a brunette he wants to shag, and then plays it on the jukebox ad nauseam, at the same time winking and eyeing her up every time the title part is sung, as if he wrote it for her.
Arsehole!

I promise I will not sing it too you.

I'm so over the song "(You're) Having My Baby" by Paul Anka.

This song bring chills to my spine every time I hear this. Just think, I liked it for about 5 minutes.. then after that...

You'll start to love it again when you're sixty. It will mean you can still hear it. For whatever reason.

Stairway To Heaven

Great song, I know, but I am so fucking sick of hearing it!

Anything by Led Zeppelin

Great band I know, and now-a-days probably more influential than the Beetles, but whenever I hear one of their sones I flash back to all my "bevis and butt-head" inspired stoner friends getting fucked up and playing air guitar while listening to Leppelin over, and over, and over.

Its that and almost any classic rock station will play at least one zeppelin soge every hour (and usually the same three or four) since playing Zeppelin is the easiest way to prove your really a classic rock station without actually playing interesting or good.

Some of these I still cannot listen to, even after all these years... it's too bad, really.

"American Pie"
"Hey, Jude"
"Judy in Disguise"
"Layla"
"Love Is Blue"
"Love The One You're With"
"Me and Bobby McGee" (Janis Joplin version)
It's funny, because I love all the songs you've mentioned. I understand what you mean, though. There have been times when I loved a song the first time I heard it, but I grew to hate it, due to radio overplay. For me, those songs include;

Piano Man - Billy Joel
Old Time Rock n' Roll - Bob Seger
Bernadette - The Four Tops
Dance to the Music - Sly & the Family Stone
Crystal Blue Persuasion - Tommy James and the Shondells
