Chloe Madeley is the daughter of "Richard and Judy" Madeley, a veteran TV couple who present shows together such as the eponymous "Richard and Judy" show. Her 'fame' such as it is, seems to rest upon a foundation of patronage by her parents (or their name), who have given her presenting jobs on their programmes, largely as a 'roaming reporter'.

She is also a model, including one shoot with 'FHM magazine', and was named as the new 'face' of Ultimo underwear in 2009 (funny place to wear your underwear! ).In many ways 2009 was her career peak to-date, as she also presented shows for 'The Teenage Cancer Trust', and she also began a column in 'NOW' Magazine ..... still 'never heard of her' I hear you cry, well this thread is for minor celebrities! Anyway, her anonymity aside, she generates small but regular amounts of copy in the 'celeb press', and that qualifies her ... After her peak of 2009, she appears to have had slimmer pickings ... in January 2010, she participated in 'Celebrity Quitters', where five 'celebrities' attempted to give up smoking, and in March 2010, she presented 'Live From Studio Five' for one week . In January 2011, she joined the cast of 'Dancing On Ice' another 'reality TV' show.

Of course all of this wouldn't do much on this thread, but fortunately she has done most of the things the minor celebs do. For instance in February 2009, pictures from her Facebook page went public of her smoking cannabis. Her father defended his daughter stating that it was "just a bong", and that he "couldn't give a stuff" .... later in 2009, she was arrested and charged with drunk driving after her car was found crashed, and rolled over on its roof, in north London. The court heard that she had drunk two cocktails before the crash, and her car clipped another vehicle and overturned. She was convicted and disqualified for 20 months.

And then there were the 'photo's' .... where she said she was "doing a Jordan" as she quaintly put it .... I don't know what that means! - actually I do, and its not what some of you were thinking , she meant having 'candid' (no make up or airbrush LOL) beach photos 'leaked' to the press, and milking the publicity for all its worth ... one and half paragraphs deep inside a free paper, in the report I read

She was mugged of her mobile phone in 2007 ... this prompted her father Richard to shake his fist on the next day's edition of 'Richard & Judy', saying: "I'd just like to make a gesture at this point to the person who stole our daughter's mobile phone" ..... Hmmm, the mugger probably just needed the money to get "a bong".

Domonique Ramirez is Miss San Antonio ... sort of, and therein lies the tale. Miss Ramirez won the Miss San Antonio competition in April last year and then it all went a 'bit Taco shaped' .... She was accused of being late to events and poor behaviour, ultimately 'tarnishing' the image of the role..... a pageant spokesman said that the pageant always gives winners an option to have a driver - and claimed Miss Ramirez had insisted her mother driver her everywhere instead, so she was constantly late, and that at times she had been an hour and a half to two hours late, and once had not shown up at all. She also said that when confronted about her tardiness, Miss Ramirez was 'not remorseful'.

But the organisers also said that she was eating too many Taco's and that her contract obliged her to 'maintain' the weight and measurements she had when she first signed the contract .... however that Miss Ramirez's weight was 'a moot point' as the replacement girl was a size 6. 'I said, you know, "Get off the tacos, get off the chips and soda,"' she told the KTSA radio station. 'Because she's 17, and that's what these kids eat. We've given her chance after chance after chance, and she has not complied,' Ms Woods said. 'There's just constant resistance.'

Miss Ramirez wasn't just going to take this lying down and went to court to defend her honour ... insisting that she was only 10 mins late at most, 'I have been five or 10 minutes late to some, but only because I didn't have a chaperone, which they did promise me. They were bringing stuff up from the past, and making things up that were just not true.'

She added that as she is 5ft 8in and is only a size 2, weighing just 129lbs ..... so no Taco monster ... she filed suit and sued the 'Miss Bexar County Organization' for stripping her of the Miss San Antonio title .... In a local news report, Ramirez said, "I shouldn't have to be slandered like this and my future shouldn't have to be ruined over this."

However things turned out badly for our petite heroine in round one, when a Texas judge turned down the 17-year-old’s injunction to stop her title being given away and to add insult to injury her runner-up in the 2010 Miss San Antonio contest, was crowned the new queen as she sat in court .... nasty!

‘The judge’s decision today speaks for itself,’ said pageant organiser Linda Woods. But Miss Ramirezs lawyer said the ruling was a ‘temporary setback’ and they were confident a jury would rule in their favour at next month’s full trial

Blanche Mehaffey was an American showgirl and film actress who was named after her noted soprano mother Blanche Berndt (pictured below in 1907). She started as a dancer with the Ziegfeld Follies before going to Hollywood to play comedy roles in motion pictures in the 1920's. She was another of those girls chosen by the Wampas company as one of the Baby Stars of 1924.

Her debut in movies was in the 1923 silent film 'Fully Insured' and she played in many Hal Roach comedies for a number of years, usually opposite Charley Chase. She astutely took a year off filming to study voice and languages and returned to movies in the talkie 'Sunrise Trail' in 1931, thus managing the transition to sound but not very well and she left films in 1938.

During her career she changed her screen name to Joan Alden, Blanche Like (her married name) and then to Janet Morgan and in vain attempts to break through as a major player. Her marriage to Ralp M Like, a sound recordist and low budget film producer was what brought Ms Mehaffey to my attention. It was said about his productions that he never met a corner he couldn't cut, and several of the 'Like-Mehaffey' collaborations (he starred her in all of his works as a selling plus), were embarrassingly poor, even at the time.

One such, 'Sally of the Subways' in 1932, was ostensibly a crime drama, however was merely an excruciatingly slow affair, that eventually featured neither the eponymous 'Sally' nor the 'Subways' ... they now apparently have a strange cult following because of their awfulness.

In 1948, an embarrassed Ms Mehaffey attempted via the courts to prevent the new owners of her old 'Like-Mehaffey' film rights from selling them on to television. Unfortunately for unsuspecting viewers, the lawsuit was dismissed and cinematic blunders such as 'Soul of the Slums' made in 1931 and 'Wages of Sin' have become treasured perennials at Bad Movie festivals

However in another version of this story, in 1948, she sued Paramount Pictures for $100,000 for showing 'Mystery Trooper' on its TV station KTLA without her permission, or more importantly any payment to her, contending that a network sale would have been more lucrative ... she lost the case (in both versions of the tale).

She also had a strange marriage to an oil well supply dealer in January 1928 (or he may have been a big game hunter - the sources are hazy on this incident). They stayed married only ten weeks, before the actress obtained an instant divorce decree ... hmmm a scandal there somewhere, but what?

Cathy Moriarty-Gentile is an is an American actress. Oddly her first screen credit is also her most famous .... It was in Martin Scorsese's 'Raging Bull' in 1980, in the role of Vikki LaMotta (who equally oddly, has her own thread here for her pl*yboy pics aged 51 - she is a looker), the wife of Jake La Motta played by Robert De Niro. Her performance earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

I'm afraid that in many ways it was all down hill from there in terms of career highlights ..... these can be summed up as the villain 'Carrigan Crittenden' in the film 'Casper', and as the wife of Harvey Keitel's corrupt cop in 1997's 'Cop Land', and finally she played female mafia boss Patti LoPresti in 'Analyze That'.

She married J Gentile in 1999 and they have been accused of defaulting on legal bills from a failed business project.

In November 2010, it was reported that she was involved in a Hit-and-Run accident in New York. According to a police report, witnesses claim she saw Moriarty-Gentile driving a silver Chrysler on I-495 when she was in a bit of a hurry, and apparently she jumped a red light and rear-ended a Volvo, and then sped off from the accident without checking if there were any injuries. Police tracked down Moriarty at her home, where they noted that her silver Chrysler had front damage that matched up with the accident. However in an unusual defence, Moriarty-Gentile simply denied any involvement in the crash.

However, there are a couple of eyewitnesses who have confirmed that they saw Cathy Moriarty behind the wheels of the car on that fateful night ..... police investigations are underway.

Jeanne Laverne Carmen was an American model, pin-up girl, trick-shot golfer, and 'B' movie actress ..... wow, trick shot golfer ... she musta potted a lot of balls! She moved to Hollywood while in her 20's and appeared in 'B' movies such as 'Guns Don't Argue' and 'The Monster of Piedras Blancas' .... and eventually to parts in movies that were almost mainstream .... e.g. in 1956, she was the love interest in a movie based upon the hole in the wall gang (Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid) called 'The Three Outlaws' with starring Neville Brand and Alan Hale, Jr as 'Butch and Sundance'.

But although her career never hit any great heights, her life was of considerable interest ... in 1998, she was the subject of a TV biography titled "Jeanne Carmen: Queen of the B-Movies", (which was part of a series of expose's on the series 'E! True Hollywood Story'). In the expose it was claimed that Carmen maintained a "dangerously close friendship with Marilyn Monroe and The Kennedys" ... hinting that she knew more about the death of Monroe than was healthy for her.

It further stated that after the death of Monroe, Carmen was told to leave town by Chicago mobster Johnny Rosselli who was working for Chicago Mob Boss Sam Giancana. Carmen, was apparently so convinced that her life was in danger, that she fled to Scottsdale, Arizona, where she lived incognito for over a decade. Carmen abandoned her platinum blonde locks, had three children and lived a quiet life, never mentioning her prior life in Hollywood. Certainly, she never talked about the incidents, BUT she also never refuted the programmes contents.

She was a very photographed girl (both as a Brunette and Blonde), and sadly someone beat me to this girl (and to be fair one post in this thread wouldn't do her justice), and posted a thread with very good content here, so only a few pictures below, just to whet your appetite for a worthwhile trip to her thread.

The rock n roll themed 1957 film 'Untamed Youth' co-starred 'Eddie Cochran', and Cochran was smitten enough to cover the song "Jeannie, Jeannie, Jeannie" for her.

I think I read in an old Femme Fatale magazine that she became a trick shot artist while in Las Vegas under the tutelage of a local golf hustler who saw her on the links and "admired her form." They then began to hustle local golfers together, one of whom was Rosselli, who was also one of Carmen's beaus at the time. It was after one such incident that she was "invited" to get out of town... and don't come back.

Like a lot of the events of that time, 'myth, urban legend, wishful story telling' and 'lies' are so interlinked, that the exact 'truth', if there is ever such a thing, is nearly impossible to nail down. So I'll settle for a half truth, linked to a splash of legend and modicum of myth.

Kelly McGillis is an American actress who many of you will remember as the love interest in 'Top Gun', or maybe as the Amish love interest in 'Witness', or perhaps as the lawyer (or maybe love interest?) to Jodie Foster's rape victim in 'The Accused' .... she herself had been raped.
