They do it for the money, but we all sell our labor for money, right? I used to work at an adult cable company. We're talking pure porn, edited down to broadcast standards by us, so I interacted with porn people every day. I never asked any of the girls why they did it, because I would never pry like that, but I was often around when the subject came up and I eventually learned to see porn as just like any other job. It isn't a dream job, but neither is being a waitress or a blackjack dealer or an office manager. The difference is, where a great waitress doesn't earn much of a reward, a girl who has done some porn movies can move onto the dance circuit and if she headlines she make six figures in a year. And travel on top of it. Ten years of that, if you're smart with your money, you can retire. It's a very achievable goal. Not all of them make it, but I never met a girl in porn who wasn't either aware of it, or actively aiming for it. For a lot of the girls, especially some of those from small towns who always assumed they'd have to rely on a dude for money, this is a big deal. In general, when porn actresses make movies most of them legitimately try to get some enjoyment out of it, because if you've decided to do the job, what's the point in being miserable at it? They're doing it, so they try to enjoy it the best they can. That's what I see onscreen, is girls generally trying to enjoy the job and either succeeding or not succeeding, depending on all sorts of variables from who they're working with, to who's directing them, to how they're feeling that day of the week. Does a porn star call Wednesday hump day too? I never asked. Anyway, the hardest part of the job for them seems to be dealing with the disapproval from outsiders, but they deal with it, so I always see the girls as strong, not weak or lacking self-respect. And there are fringe benefits to the lifestyle, namely the parties are tremendous, and the people are often quite fun and connected. You can feel like you own the town. In L.A., that's no small enticement for a twenty year-old girl. Hell, it was an enticement for me, which is why I lasted at that company as long as I did. However, I have to add finally, there are thousands of porn companies out there producing every manner of material, and the cable company I worked at dealt with maybe fifteen of them, all well-known and respected in the industry, working with girls who mostly had their heads on straight. So my experience concerns a small percentage of mainstream porn girls. I don't pretend to be an advocate for them. Talk to one and they might tell you a totally different tale.

There is no doubt that money is the most important consideration for female porn participants.A distant second may be the chance to show off some exhibitionist endencies in public.Once the money flows,the female will think 'that was not so hard',but later,when they try to resume a 'normal' life,their porn career often haunts them.Because of the 'easy' porn money,many girls move on to escorting etc,figuring that there's little diffence between that and porn.

We all work for money but we try to choose a job in a field that we like. Plus pretty girls like to be the center of attention; they won't have those bodies forever.
