Code:
/* Enable image placeholders */
@-moz-document url-prefix(http), url-prefix(file) {
  img:-moz-broken{
    -moz-force-broken-image-icon:1;
    width:24px;
    height:24px;
  }
}
Restart Firefox, and voilą! Now the broken Hotflick thumbnails are indicated with a clickable placeholder.
The above also works for Pale Moon. The relevant file is/will be located:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\[alphanumeric].default\chrome\userContent.css

This fix mentioned by you and retroanalyst is very much appreciated. But why should anyone basically be forced to undergo that fix and hassle to view and open Hotflick thumbs/images here at VEF?
It seems to me that the fix should come from Hotflick's end, since they are the ones who created the problem.

What I don't understand is why do I and Firefox have no problem/issue viewing and opening Hotflick thumbs on other sites but not here at VEF?

I see thumbnails but I can't see the corresponding picture, I have to use a proxy or the anonymoX add-on for Firefox!

Default Missing pictures on Imagebam?

Can anyone else view the pictures on the links below?

I can see the thumbnsiks but not the pictures, strange because I can see the pictures on just about every other thread.

I also use Chrome, and have experienced the same problem with imagebam. I switched to IE, and experienced the same thing.

It seems like the problem is intermittent; some images do not appear one day, but function normally the next. Other images work just fine all the time; regardless of which browser I choose.

I've learned to just bookmark the post in question, and try it again another day.

I find this very annoying, too. Whenever I know a model's name, I make it part of the filename. Just found out by a fellow user's request that they now change the filenames to something totally meaningless.
Imagevenue change the filenames, too, but they at least include the original name. IB is - for me - still by far the most comfortable-to-use image host, but this is a very serious drawback in my eyes.

I'm using chrome if it makes any difference.

Using Safari on a Mac and have the same problem. I looked at a couple of Imagebam pages with Develop>Show page resources and the images are highlighted in red saying "image not found" and "Safari cannot connect to 101.imagebam.dotcom"- the frame just links to nothing- browser cannot connect to the server.

I wonder if it's Imagebam or whoever they buy/resell server space from/for saving money by limiting bandwidth.

Personally I'd never host images with them, can't understand why others do- it's a shoddy service. They still make money from advertising even though it's a 50/50 chance that the image they're purporting to host is actually there.

Good news about 101 server. We can hope that at least some of the images will return.

Hi,

Server 101 is undergoing intensive data recovery efforts still, we do not expect all can be recovered, but we will restore what we can when we can, it is likely to still be 2-3 weeks, & that is only an estimation at this stage, not a firm timetable.

Best regards
