Well, I wouldn't be surprised if we have one or two of those people that are members of this forum. However, I doubt that they will answer and reveal themselves with the current "wonderful climate" that we have in DC right now.

Not sure what you mean. Some "blue" states are dominated by Democrats in the cities, but strongly Republican in rural areas. The majority of voters in some "red" states are registered Democrats, but Republican lawmakers have succeeded in gerrymandering legislative districts to retain Republican political control of the state. Many states have switched between parties over time or are undergoing changes that portend changes in party preference. Smaller states like Delaware, Hawaii and Rhode Island are most solidly in the Democrats' camp, but states such as California, New York, and Illinois have millions of Democrats voting in their cities.
If you mean which states are most characterized by democratic processes and local involvement, my vote would go to New Hampshire, Vermont, and perhaps, Iowa. The first 2 are small New England states with centuries long traditions of town hall meetings and hands on local government. Iowa has some institutions that directly enable participation on the grass roots level. |

Yes, which makes things interesting because Louisiana's legal code operates on a different set of assumptions than all the others. All the rest are based in English Common Law, but Louisiana was adapted from the Napoleonic Code. In researching my answers, I discovered that Nebraska has a unicameral legislature and is supposedly non-partisan.

I don't remember the exact year but, during one of the White House Correspondents' Association Dinners, where they all "roast" each other , Obama really went after Trump, who was in attendance, and Trump was not happy about it. Trump decided that night to run for President...as much as anything to show them just how big of a bigshot he is. That's why Trump ran for President. And if you think he didn't run to win, you are mistaken. |

Is Trump for real? Now he’s advocating having armed teachers in schools saying that’ they would have shot the hell out of that gunman’ this just goes to prove that he is not fit to be in the Oval Office. Most American policemen that are killed are shot with their own guns, all that would happen is that you are giving the assailant more firepower. How many more casualties would this create as people were caught in the crossfire. Get rid of him now!!

How does it will be equipped: an AR-15 in the classroom cabinet ? Or a small machine-pistol for the sweet little French teacher, she can hide in her hand-bag ? What possibilities (equipment) there are -first of all- in the Bio-, Physics- or Chemistry-Hall, I will leave at the moment to your own fantasy. And I bet (!): next we hear from "Gun Land" of a teacher, who's running amok and shoot just with that gun his- and several other students down before he could be stopped.

I am afraid that as regards school shootings America has made her bed and has no choice except to lie in it, This is the extremely predictable consequence of tolerating the 2nd Amendment as presently written and tolerating the NRA, whose goals and philosophy are incompatible with civil peace. Presumably this situation goes on because most American citizens approve of it?
