I first noticed Sir Roger Moore as Sir Wilfred of Ivanhoe back when I was a boy during the "Ivanhoe" TV series which didn't last long. I became an instant fan. He will be missed.

Gregg Allman, legend, dead at 69.

Sir Roger Moore was a great 007 bond along with Connery. I didn't care that he was in his late fifties on his last outing. The humour was still there. Also liked him and Curtis in The Persuaders as Danny and Brett. Liked some of his movies too in the seventies and a obscure one in the late sixties called Crossplot. The Saint had some good episodes as well.

Really sad to hear of the passing of sir Roger Moore. He was my favourite Bond, he bought more humour and charm to the role that Connery did (he was still good tho). Enjoyed his turns in The Saint and the Wild Geese too. I liked that he was also a tireless worker for charitable causes outside of movies and always was charming and had a good sense of humour.

RIP Mr Bond!

Default Surprised he wasn't mentioned already

Cold warrior and architect of chaos Zbigniew Brzezinski died aged 89. He came to prominence in the early 1960’s as adviser to president John F. Kennedy and later with his successor Lyndon B. Johnson. It is said that Brzezinski was a key player in brokering US support of the radical Islamist Mujahideen that fought against the Soviet forces during the Soviet-Afghan War. In his final years, Brzezinski focused on the neocon project to encircle and isolate Russia by pulling former Eastern Bloc countries into the NATO.
