London men charged over alleged terror plot
Three men from London have been charged with offences under the Terrorism Act over an alleged UK terror plot.
Umar Ahmed Haque, 24, and Muhammad Abid, 27, both from Newham in east London, were arrested on 17 May along with Abuthaher Mamun, 18, from Barking. They have been remanded in custody and will appear before Westminster magistrates on Friday. A fourth man, Nadeem Ilyas Patel, 25, from Newham, faces a charge of conspiring to possess a firearm. Mr Haque has been charged with preparing to commit acts of terrorism and four counts of possessing records useful for committing or preparing acts of terrorism. Mr Abid has been charged under terror laws with failing to disclose information and Mr Mamun is accused of assisting another to commit acts of terrorism. Theresa May: Online extremism 'must be tackled'
Theresa May will urge world leaders to do more to combat online extremism, saying the fight against so-called Islamic State is "moving from the battlefield to the internet".
Speaking about counter-terrorism at the G7 summit in Sicily, the PM will say more pressure should be put on tech companies to remove extreme material. They should report such content to the authorities, she believes. Details: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2017-40052471

I'd like to take this opportunity to share a few of my own views on this.
Firstly, I was ASTONISHED by the sheer scale of support for the victims. Out of interest I flicked through some of the foreign channels, and I discovered that this attack is being broadcast all over the ENTIRE WORLD! Politicians and governments from all manner of countries across the planet (including America, Australia, China, the whole of Europe) have sent their sympathies. To me nearly the whole of humanity is being united because of events like these. I'm 37 years old, and I'll tell you something else-I think that this is the first time in my life that I've actually seen armed military personal on the streets of UK cities. I don't ever remember seeing this before during my lifetime, and not in this context. Has some people have pointed out, this sort of thing hasn't happened since World War 2. And then there's this picture from the Daily Mirror (which I've scanned into my computor): http://imgbox.com/ba08Usvr For some reason, of all the pictures that I've seen this one just strikes me the most and I don't know why.... Perhaps the most PROFOUND statement I have heard or read this week comes from a text someone sent in during last night's Question Time on BBC 1. This single sentence sums up the nature of our society: "The one single act of an evil man has created a thousand heroes". There's not much more you can say to that really, is there? Same here but the IRA had a concrete political aim whether you agreed with it or not, Islamic terrorists are just vile worthless scum who despise anyone who does not share their warped parody of a religion.

Since the Brussels Airport attack last year, there have been military patrols in crowded places. Now and then i'll see a pair of soldiers in large shopping malls, train stations, or the airport (of course). And indeed, i've alsonever seen that before during my lifetime. But to be fair, long ago we had 'gendarmes', which were like paramilitary police, a blend of police and military, so we'd never see armed soldiers in public places anyway. |

Am I right in thinking that the French police are still technically a branch of the military?

Culture mixing only works with cultures that share more or less the same basic values - values that say all have a right to live how they wish as long as it doesn't harm others.
Islam does not share this basic value and will only accept their way. This will lead to mass murder as we are now seeing in Europe. This will continue until there is full civil war or capitulation to Islam. For some reason this is what European leaders want. Why? |
