Led Zeppelin: A decent hard rock band that is held up as a serious contender for most influential band ever, maybe even more than the Beetles now. Whenever a classic rock station wants/ needs to show their "cred" they will play Zeppelin on the hour...every hour. And usually the same three-four songs. They have become insipid thru mindless adoration and overexposure.

Katy Perry: Hot as hell, and not a bad singer actually, but each and every one of her songs (which in fairness I think someone else writes for her) seems to have a preflight checklist of how many edgy relationship clichés can be fit into a four minute song.

Any and all country music: When it is not aggressively maudlin it is wallowing in saccharine bathos. That and it espouses a sanctimonious holier than thou ethos for people that do not realize how blatently they are being patronized.

What I detest the most are classic bands that have no original members. Or like have only the base player from the original band.

Belinda Carlisle. Ripped off Stevie Nicks's vocal style and drenched it in blustery overblown eighties production. Plus I've met her and she is quite incredibly rude to anyone who's neither famous or loaded.
