Finding vintage films
With the ever changing technology, I wonder how vintage porn fans are finding classic films these days. The time of going to your local video store and renting dvds or finding a rare tape at your local adult store are over.
I know about online sites of course, but to me it's always the same stars, same clips. Not much variety for the prices that are charged. So I just asking fellow vintage fans how do you find your material? I btw am a mid80-late 90's fan. |

You're right, finding vintage films is tough. Most of what I saved is from the VHS era and I've long wanted to convert it to DVD so it'll be better preserved. I've had zero luck with the film links posted here and always fear they've got a virus enclosed. I would imgine there's a few private collectors out there sitting on a goldmine of material

Some such collectors might be among us

I have wondered why one small section could not be put aside for this. But we know the old Rule Two which also applies to forums: If you think the bartender is wrong see Rule One. So when old wankers pass on most big collections will be eventually be destroyed by shocked family members. Quite a lot of great 70s/80s loops show up on the tube sites. There are good things to be found [not counting those stolen from here in the first place] but titles are rarely given or left intact in the loop which makes tracing them tough. As for pre-70's nearly everything is clipped from a few commercial VHS/DVD collections, so there is endless repetition. My priority is B&W hardcore pics from the 1910s to the 60s but all searches seem to end with the same old pictures. The Vintage pay sites all steal from each other and offer the same stuff, having the nerve to put their watermark on them. And, worst of all, old photo card sets of the Soho type are very rarely kept together. |

There are some movie conventions.
Sometimes on erotic conventions. Also at fleamarket and second hand stores |

You can pick up some from Usenet.
I have downloaded some good 'classics' (i.e. late '70s - 80s) from Alt.Binaries.DVD.Erotica.Classics I don't bother much with the modern DVD porn forums. Not all Usenet hosts support DVD forums, or porn forums. I used to use Virgin Media's own host, but a couple of years ago the amount of material and number of forums supported dropped drastically, so I now use a pay site, of which there are lots. |
