Uploads of material from video portals

In the last time I saw more material that has a very low resolution, just an example:

That file is only 320x240 and I personally saw just very very few original rips being made at such a low resolution.
The initial post in that thread shows a file with a resolution twice as large and I can only assume that the low resolution file was simply taken from one of the various video portals like ******** or whatever.

Now I wonder if such material should be allowed here, personally I had always hoped for better rips in the future, with all the raising barriers like bandwith, storage, resolution, codec, etc. that would make it easy to simply do quality rips.

I do my DVD Rips the way that they keep the quality of the DVD, even the interlaced setting, I only convert them using Handbrake to MP4 and with the modern codecs I can lower the file size to half or even less of the DVD size while keeping the quality.
While the video in the post I linked is OK, I saw much worse material than that here.

Of course a video is a video but I just wonder if there shouldn't be some kind of Minimum Requirements for material posted here, because it's always a pity if you see material resurface only to find out that it's as worse as the crap you get on any of the video portals.

Some times that's all that's available, most of us here will upload an upgrade if we stumble across it.

Yes Lagerlout is totally right, would be very great if you can find every classic porn movie in fullhd quality .

you maybe have forgotten that many old movies have been converted to dvd/br so these small/lq- files are the only one you can find. just remember the normal movies on cd-r/rw are sized 700 megabytes , i know it form downloading/uploading earlier on filesharing machines.

nobadguy - you cant buy every old vhs/ntsc tape and convert it that would be to expensive and really hard to find.

so please be satisfied with the old stuff, better than nothing ,isn't it?

Well fullhd isn't even necessary if a proper rip was done a DVD can also look good.

Much of the old stuff was re-released, either under the original name or what also happened simply under a new name on DVD/BR, so these video portal cell phone movies aren't the only source for getting the movie up again, it's just the cheapest way to do it by scanning such portal to grab and reupload any full movie you find.
And some of the old rips had also 2x CD size, especially later it was more common than a single CD I would say.

It simply feels fake to me, just like it's fake to post a picture set that is really just a bunch of screenshots taken from a movie.

And seeing some of these fake rips I can assure you they are not better than nothing as some will make you want to blind yourself with a glowing iron rod.

can't tell you about picture sets,not my kind of stuff.
and the most rereleases are from VCX etc and so not allowed to be posted.

So i suggest you want dvdquality, you buy it .

i bought myself some dvd's as you can see in some of my movie posts.

and it really takes much of time to convert from 320x240 to some quality you want, and maybe it wouldnt be better, i just remember 640x480 the same quality problem.

and members like rogerleon buy the vhs-tapes and convertthem,so what are yor expecting?everybody have to gove money because you mean small quality for an movie from 1960's or 1970's isn't enough and shpuld be banned/removed?

here are many collectors who are satisfied with every version until some better come up, except you ??

If it's all we've got then it is better than nothing. In the topics I'm involved in some of the time flash videos are the only version we have available as the previous posted version is no longer available.

We are definitely a niche forum so everything isn't available in today's quality standards. Sadly.

And as an edit... I always encourage others to post their version of a file if their version is better in resolution or quality. We are generally collectors. The issue is users not pudding them.

Who converts 320x240 back to anything?
Once it's "raped" nothing can be restored, you have to do it correct on the 1st attempt.
Besides 640x480 simply doesn't look as crappy as 320x240 on todays HD devices when the appropriate settings are chosen, of course if you think you can do it at higher resolution but with same filesize it will simply not work.

And I don't expect anyone throwing out money your totally of topic here, I simply question that uploads from video portal rips are made, instead of the hassle downloading that and being disappointed it would be better to post the direct link so anyone can check out and see if that file is worth the trouble but I guess that will not be allowed here.

I collect too but I'm not satisfied with such crap as that is usually worse than rips from the 90's, that is simply a waste of storage & bandwidth.

PS Not sure what you want to convert but if you do some DVD rips simply go for handbrake, easy as cake.

hello nobadguy,maybe i didn't understand your point of view,could happen.

im too many times disappointed,but as the others did post here if theres no other version you can't expect an upgrade. for example Denaniel, the grandmaster of classic movies really tries to upgrade every movie .

the only thing i can tell you here atm i really respect the work of many posters here doesn't care of they are members,vintage smods whatever .

This place is a treasure if you love old erotica, that's my bottom line and because i dont want to start a discussion here in the help forum, its off toppic,yes and i apologize for my posts, dear mods.

The bottom line here is pretty simple

If you want the previous versions look to the request threads and hope some about who thanked actually kept it in their collection and are still about.

The forum is never going to set levels because that would mean the choice between something and nothing being on offer.As the forum needs the guest traffic to survive quality will never be the be all and end all.


Since the war against filehosts started in 2012 many who uploaded the quality sized files have simply stopped uploading.So theres a lot of quality material thats no longer online.

RS , MU & mediafire pretty much destroyed about 10 years worth of uploading in 2 years

You have this massive void and far fewer uploaders looking to re-up it to the same standard

I'd add that those posting to earn & streaming sites borrowing content immediately has
made many sharing from their collections simply say no more

The example of a vef uploader having their content uploaded by others on 10 other forums during the 2 week cluster crash really brought it home as to how far online behaviour has strayed from sharing for the sake of sharing
