Went to the 13 years ' old tournament this afternoon and saw young generations of :
two from Ligue1 town ,three from ligue 2 (Lens was there),1 premier league(West Ham Vic I saw their 3 games) , one from Jupiler league, one from Finland, Belgium....and many teams around home.
A great moment.
No money yet there. Just the game.

They will be rather low. One reason why UEFA is pushing for a return to terrestrial TV being able to broadcast a few fixtures. It is disgusting that SS and BT Sport hold a monopoly the way they do. It forces people should they wish to watch everything to buy two packages which are far from affordable for many.

From driving out the normal fan at grounds they are determined to suck everyone dry and deny the football watcher their football fix. They are the ones lining the pockets of parasitic agents, average players and idiot pundits.

When one compares the money one has to pay abroad should one want to watch the European leagues and cup competitions it is clear that this country is once again 'Treasure Island' for SS and BT Sport.

When you see the fees being paid, the sheer greed in the game no wonder it turns off the normal viewer.

I only watch international football now usually CONMEBOL, the major continental competitions and my team Watford either at the Vic and when they are away if they are not on the evil duo on a stream.

Speaking of which Chalobah and Doucoure were superb yesterday. The latter is a star in the making. Non stop, box to box tackling midfielder always driving the play and available for a pass. Just needs to improve his shooting a little. No excuses about the Britos tackle. Thought Silva ought to give young Brandon Mason his chance. Might also speed up the Gibbs transfer although his wage demands are obscene.

Messi (2), Dybala (3) and Icardi (2) goals yesterday will probably line up against Uruguay at the next round of WC qualifiers. While Dybala is not at the level of Messi and will never be he is still the heir apparent.

I get BT sport as part of my phone/broadband package and sky when I hire for the American footie. However why don't club chairman demand the PL sell packages to terrestrial TV.

Edit no work.

If it was not BT & Sky it would be someone else. I get no one likes Murdoch, but I keep saying this, 20 club chairman had a product and wanted more money, hence the PL and Sat TV. Lets not forget EFL 72 and Vanarama as well, it all adds up, not just here either.

Can't believe how bad Arsenal were. Sanchez didn't want to be on the pitch and at the end you could see Ozil wondering what the Hell he was doing still at the club. Which he won't be much longer.

On the other hand, I was really impressed with Salah, Firmino and especially Can, who is beginning at last to show some of the potential he had when he joined. Even Wijnaldum looked good, though against a desperately poor Arsenal.

It's nice to know that even after so long at arsenal wenger can still set records. Three games in and already no chance of winning the title.

On the other hand he must be pissing himself little more than two months ago they could have shown him the door with no payout but instead gave him a new contract.

Still we can look forward to his whingeing about those poor little footballers having to travel all the way across europe on a school night.

Wow! I never saw that coming 4-0 to Liverpool v Arsenal. What a game that was, Wenger made a lot of tactical errors and should have played a stronger side especially as he spent a lot of money on the likes of Lacazette. Sanchez looks like he wants out too. On the other side Liverpool were fantastic, Salah what a buy he is and Can and Wijnaldum played out of their skins. The only fly in the proverbial ointment Lorius Karius, what on earth was he doing twice holding onto the ball instead of banging it up field. A rest now then Man City, now that will be a real test for the Reds.

That was my first chance to watch Salah and wow what a player. Had a good chance on his first breakaway and then you knew that second one was going in. Then he made that lovely cross to Sturridge at the back post.

That's the kind of game you hope for if you're Liverpool going into the international break. Arsenal on the other hand???
