If this thread is still about 99p.
The local pub in Beerland was selling an Ale from a small micro Brewery (Trial Sample). The first pint was selling at 99p+1. Second was only 99p+30. As were several more. I have had a great night folks. As did many others. By the way, it will be selling for £2.90 on Monday. Oh well. |

I was delighted with my purchases at the pet shop today, a cats squeaky mouse toy 30p. a cat scratching mat for 45p, and a cat collar for 20p. I was very pleased until I remembered I haven’t got a cat.

Dangerously upping the anti here. I manage to get classical CD's for a lot less by sometimes popping down to Gramex in Lower Marsh Road.
They are in some cases review copies. One can get enormous sums off large boxed collections. Charing Cross Road in London still has several booksellers where one can get books relatively cheaply than in a mainstream shop. It has to be said and with a heavy heart that a lot of shops that used to sell oddities and rarities both in music and video have disappeared from London fronted by the likes of Beanos in Croydon. They had a unique atmosphere where one could even sit down and have an informal cup of tea and chew the cud with others. |

In the last year I've downloaded about 500 European "arthouse" films [ with lots of sex and nudity which is crucial to the story] for SFA.

On the subject of beer, a cheapo shop near to where I live was selling bottled ale at very reasonable prices: not just crappy fizz, either, but decent stuff like Brakspear's Bitter and Thwaites' Nutty Black, among others, for just over a quid.

Got an amazing deal down at my local Jewelers early this morning , and all for only 99p
In fact if i hadn`t cut my arm on the glass reaching in the window to grab them, and had to then buy a pack of plasters ,it wouldn`t have even cost me that

Kids are back at school so the shops are doing great deals again. My son got a new combi boiler fitted into his house recently and Dad will be redoing the large cupboard that had the big boiler. As Dads do I am trying to do it "well but cheap".
Today in a certain shop ( because the schools have gone back ) they were selling three "No M-re N--ls " for the price of one. At 99p. I needed probably two but 3 at 33p each. No complaints. |
