These days, not as much. Everyone seems to be jumping on the porn bandwagon. It seems to some to be easy money, but many find that not to be true. Some of the vile acts in porn today make me sick.

According to Nacho Vidal, when he arrived to L.A. porn industry and contacted TT Boy, this (TT) was earning 500$ per scene. Nacho Vidal told him he woluld ask 1000$, so TT Boy answered him "you must be crazy, they never pay you so much" Nacho told him "they´ll do it", and according to Naho Vidal, he finally got 1000$ per scene.

On the other hand, I wonder about male porn stars who were in the bussiness for at least two decades, as Peter North, Steve Drake, Scott Irish or Christoph Clark. Is it a profitable bussiness?

According to the excellent study on Sexwork "Sex for Sale" by Ronald Weitzer, female "talent" average 900 USD these days and men about half of that. A woman has a career of approx. 9 month avg. and male performers can "last forever" as they are the ones who are are less important. The male performers in fact are picked by the women, as they decide with whom they like to work. No women to chose them, no work !. AFAIK, talent make the most out of "featuring" and "escort" work, i.e. prostitution. Quite a few female pornstars seem to have worked as escorts. Nici's Girls used to advertise more than 20, including, if memory serves, Tracey Adams (@ $1000-1200/hr I think), Chloe Vervier ($2k-7k, depending on the party), and C.J. Bennett (@ $800/hr?). Whether they were all actually available or not was not always certain.

Nici's Girls was a fraud. She listed hundreds of women that she had no contact with whatsoever, including Chloe Vevrier. This is easily verifiable by doing a search through Google. Sorry I can't give you the links, but they would lead to blogs (not allowed by the rules). Dozens of other sites simply copied Nici's list, continuing to perpetrate the lie.

All true. Have heard this before, which is why I made the disclaimer about it not being certain whether the girls were actually available. In researching the post ran across a site with mug shots of Nici and her partner.

There apparently are reviews by men claiming to have partied with Chloe on Big Doggie ... though those could certianly be shills? One of the come-ons at Nici's and other similar sites was to get you to pony up a large chunk of change to get to the "private" inner members circle, with the deposit supposedly set against the cost of the first party... if there ever was one???

In a TV interview approx 10 years ago, Ron Jeremy stated that some of the guys that worked for him were paid a mere $10 per scene. When the interviewer, Jonathan Ross, expressed shock at the paltry sum being paid, Jeremy laughed and said that most of the guys would probably do it for free.

Around the the late 80's and early 90's in Sweden, I heard porn directors picked up amateurs (women) and payed 'em maybe 50 bucks (with the dollar's value back then). Not really much at all, but they did it so I guess they were desperate for a quick buck.
