ImageBam posting tutorial (updated July 17, 2022)
This guide has been revamped and updated as July 17, 2022
How to post photographs using the imagehost ImageBam. Go here: https://www.imagebam.com/ Step 1) Click on Add Files Step 2) Navigate to where the photos you want to share are. For this guide, I put mine on my desktop in a folder named, "Karen." Step 3) Here you select which photos you want to upload. When you've done this, click on Open. Step 4) You will be taken to a new page. Scroll down. At the bottom of the page, you will be given some options: Select Type - Choose Adult if the photos have nudity, choose Family Safe if they don't. Thumbnail options - Choose 180x180 (standard), as 200x200 is the maximum allowed here at Vintage Erotica Forum. The other options are either too big or small. Gallery Option - Check Put to the gallery. At VEF, any post with 2 or more photos must have a gallery. Name your gallery. In many cases the actresses initials will do. After making your selection, press Upload Now. Step 5) Your photos have been uploaded. If you've only uploaded one image, at the top of the page you can click and copy that image's BB-Code. If you want Gallery options, scroll down. The gallery options are at the bottom of the page. Copy the galleries BB-Code by clicking on Copy. Step 6) You have your BB-Code copied to your clipboard. Now it's time to go to here: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/f10-help-section.html, and click on Test Forum Step 7) Click on New Thread Step 8) Add a title. Mine was "Karen Gillan," and in the field where the code will be pasted, add a short description. I wrote "A most beautiful ginger." And then paste your BB-Code at the blinking cursor. We're almost done. This is what it will look like. Your code should be in the post field. Ignore and do not make any changes to the Drag and Drop field. Step 9) Click to preview your post. 10th and final step) If everything looks the way you want it to, click Submit New Thread. This is your new test post. Now it's time to share! Note: Test posts will be deleted two weeks after the date of the last post. Last edited by nhy5; July 17th, 2022 at 05:22 AM.. Reason: Complete revamp update finished July 17, 2022 |

Help Aligning CAPS - ImageVenue Solution
Okay guys...
VEF is a great forum, the only real bugbear I've had since joining is aligning CAPS (captured images from video files) then posting them online in VEF. Here's my observations: For some reason I'm using ImageVenue.com (I think this is one of the recommended VEF image hosts). Here's my simple HOW TO guide on posting caps on VEF: 1. I use VLC player to do the actual captures, but I changed a setting in VLC so you get number order. (Eg VLCCAP0000001.jpg) 2. VEF seems to like 4 caps in a row, then it will start another row of 4. 3. The TRICK is to make sure there are no gaps between cap images (coz that saves valuable server space, looks neat for members). 4. You get no gaps by deleting "white space" between these BBcode tags: "[/URL][URL=http://xxximagefilexxx.jpg]" 5. A good total to go for is 8 caps (2 x rows on VEF) The BBcode needs to appear in a certain way in your POST before you submit it to the forum. (Then I always hit the Preview Post button so I can see all the CAPS are aligned. Here's some CAPS of how the BBcode needs to look to get neat 4 cap rows on VEF. (The order problem can be solved by hitting the Sorting Order Button kindly provided on ImageVenue.com. Then you just tell ImagineVenue to "sort by name" (Eg 00001, 00002, 00003) REAL EXAMPLE photos (How the BBcode Needs To Look In Your Post To Get Neat Rows) Last edited by nbwriter; February 27th, 2014 at 04:17 PM.. What I do to "align" thumbnails in a post is to have a space between the UBB code for each thumbnail, NO CARRIAGE RETURNS (aka "Enter" or "End of Line"). That way the forum software treats each thumbnail as a word and when users view the posts they are automatically formatted to account for the user's monitor settings.

Can't post .rtf files to Imagebam.
I don't have the ability to create .jpeg or other type files that Imagebam will accept, and IB certainly won't accept .rtf files. Can anyone suggest a way for me to post this file?

.rtf is not an image file. It stands for Rich Text File. That's why Imagebam won't accept it.

This forum works with BB-code, did you copy and paste the BB-code URL?
