I have been thinking about watching Jack Ryan and will start Condor soon as I liked the original film in the 70s, although imagine this is very different. The Deuce seems to keep being mentioned, but I don't even know what it's about. Also plan to watch Counterpart and top of my list will be the next Outlander and Man in the High Castle which are movie quality productions. Having said that, I'm a bit behind with stuff and have not finished The Leftovers yet! For me, the best drama showing on the BBC is Killing Eve. I like this a lot (so far). I'm afraid that IMHO, The Bodyguard could have been shorted by taking out enough of the content to fill an episode and doing a re-write of the last part. An outstanding European show carried by the BBC every year is the excellent French police series Spiral (Engrenages in French). If you don't mind sub-titles, this is an absolutely superb series that drags you right into the sleazy world of crime in Paris. |

The Deuce is about pimps and prostitutes in New York City in the 70's and the birth of the porn industry including touching the subject of Deep Throat, Times Square as the go to place in NYC for all the porn stores and live peep shows and everything else xxx rated and the night clubs.
Season 2 starts out in the late 70's and there is a season 3 coming that seque into the 80's. |

I concur. S08E01 of American Horror Story. It's early days yet, but glad to see it seems back on track after seasons 5 - 7 inclusive.

Just finish watching Sharp Objects.
WOW! I was enthralled by it! For those who ask whether the final scene prior to the credit is true, watch the entire credits from beginning until the final seconds right before the video completely ENDS! Here's a recap of the ending credits: (CONTAINS SPOILERS) Code:

Not seen The Deuce second series yet but as for anything onNetflix or Amazon Prime forget it, not interested and to be honest I don't want to pay for two more services as it costs enough with the SKY stuff and the licence fee.

Finish watching all 10 episodes of Maniac.
It started out well with an interesting premise and I felt by Episode 5, it started to drag on and on and on and a couple of episodes between 5 and 10 felt like fillers and padding. Also finish all 8 episodes of Season 1 of The Deuce and the first 3 episodes of Season 2 of The Deuce. Episode 4 airs tonight. The Deuce is interesting look at how porn went from becoming illegal to legal beginning in New York City in the early 70's which lead to Deep Throat and the birth of the Golden Age of Porn but I feel they could had left out the gay porn part of it. When you have 9 hours to kill sitting in an aluminum tube with wings going East and then again another 9 hours going West, you have plenty of time to binge watch something on your laptop. |

A Discovery Of Witches. Only a couple of episodes in so far, but it's interesting and faithful to the book which I also liked.
