Age before beauty if you are older than 36, so you first.
"This is the Age of Togetherness". I thought it is the age of social distancing. Oh ya and why are you yelling in the title??? Tsk tsk |

Yet the mods ran in and fixed your title right after my post. Troll, oh snap lol. Show me a trolling post on here from me. I tend to think I'm quite delightful around here to most members. Anyway, back on track. Love Of My Life - by Trooper It is about my mom and the love of her life collaborated on the writing and co-engineered the album, Randy Bachman (BTO) produced it. They were high school sweethearts but went seperate ways and a chance meeting almost 40 years later pulled them back together. Sadly my mom was murdered by a drunk driver a few years ago and he suffered a brain aneurism resulting from a deep sea dive in Greece less than 1 year later, they are interred side by side but most of his ashes I had dropped inside a titanium capsule, into the Mariana Trench last year to pay homage to his love of the oceans. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=W1nUrLnE3PA They are headlining my NYE Bash this year. If we're talking memories, this is one straight from memory lane. I heard it on the radio during one of my regular 200 mile weekend jaunts up the M1 to visit family in Yorkshire. I hadn't heard it since my mother played it to her baby children back in the 1960s, and I had totally forgotten it existed. But I knew it instantly, and I felt my jaw hit the floor as I remembered all about it. Morningtime Ride ~ The Seekers Judith Durham had an incredible singing voice, one of the best female singers ever born.

I'm a few years older than you Scounds but Saturday mornings in the 60's always mean't Ed Stewart and his Childrens Favourites show. The Seekers featured and lot and their music still wafts me back to that age of my own innocence. 'The Carnival is Over' can still bring tears to my eyes and memories of saying goodbye to my favourite aunt as she left for Australia as a £10 Pom.

I'm a similar age to Harold, One song that always evokes those long ago times is Mary Hopkins' Those Were The days. Based on a Russian Folk Tune with new lyrics.

Genesis - Follow You Follow Me Mixed feelings for this song, my first wife loved it and I enjoyed playing it. It was supposed to be the first dance at our wedding, followed by Billy Idol, White Wedding. But the booked disco sent a numpty in his place. And the idiot comes to me and says he hasn't got Follow Me. Queue bridezilla and a demand of the money back. Never paid although they did play a few songs for free. Sad thing is I looked at a CD I had with the song on, and nearly slipped it in my pocket. I cannot listen or play it anymore. On the other side https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aENX1Sf3fgQ The Police - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic Which if you've read any of my other posts was the reason I discovered music and learnt guitar. At sometime every day that song will echo around the house. It is the go to song when I pick up a guitar, bass or even plunk away on a keyboard
