Cindy Lafon aka Linda Davis
@TheZip - the three images of your top heavy brunette are completed and ready below. No problems except that I didn't realize until I got to it that the last one was so large. That kind of size takes extra time but results in a clear image. Regarding your allowance to "slip them back," I always do everything in the order they were submitted to me except in rare cases when I decide to move things around (happened twice that I remember). Apparently you've created a new fan of ishy137, he seems quite infatuated with this doll. Let me know if you want anything changed.
561 images colored since May 23rd @ishy137 - your three images are next in line. Note that I always see the details of any picture, it's part of the job, and those heels just stood out even without any color. However, regarding your new requests, I think I recognize all three and can put names to two of them. The first, which you identified as Sheilagh Harrison is actually Hannah Viek, an eastern European model from the 70's and 80's who has a thread here: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showthread.php?t=4774 The second, although I recognize her I cannot put a name to the face but believe I have several pictures I will look up later. The last I might recognize from an old 1980 movie called Taboo in which she had a sex scene with Dorothy LeMay and a guy while they were studing for school. I located the thread and found that her name in the scene list is Tawny Pearl. Another possibility for her is in a movie called Frat House (also billed as Tawny Pearl) where her breasts were distinctive, I believe there is a thread here that calls them Misslie Boobs. Taking that logo off the second is not going to be a problem, I do harder problems all the time. @malakon - good work! I do however have a problem with the Elizabeth Montgomery image in that you let the color from the polar bear pelt stray over into her hair. There is also a distinct line where the pelt color ends and the background begins, it should be faded in. For your information, there are lots of posts here where I give some pointers on how to do some colorizing. Three that address the hair problem are as shown below: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1133485&postcount=122 Mel Appleby http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1467512&postcount=564 Brigitte Bardot http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1421789&postcount=508 Recolor Visitor99 I would suggest you read these but be aware that correcting the hair is a labor intensive job and requires lots of patience. @blondifan - hi guy, welcome back from the dark corners of the planet and thanks for the compliment. Your image of Miss Blondi Bee is in the pipeline and should be done in a day or two. Removing text such as that should be fairly easy, it's hard when it overlaps part of the image you want to save. And you're assuming the shorts are denim blue. Probably a good guess but I try to avoid automatic assignments such as that. @polartrade - you've got two choices now, more of Sophia or shift your attention to Janet Omes. Make a wish!

malakon feedback
@demsal8 - thanks. Appreciate the constructive criticism. Elizabeth's hair was not a result of bleed through but a failed attempt to give the hair some colour, that needs rework. also the shoes were not edged well. I will try and fix it and post it again, and welcome your feedback.
On Cheryl, can you give me any pointers on how to make the body colour not look so monochromatic and flat. I started looking at other colour studio shot flesh tones for examples and considered doing some colour highlighting - I assume its really just a question of artistic effort at that point. my experience is in faking images not colourizing b/w (did you see the link to the Cheryl Ladd fake in my post ?) but not of the celeb head on a random bodyshot variety, but rather on altering existing celeb shot as realistically as possible to create a photo-realistic nude of the original shot. I also prefer bunny mag type shots to hardcore poses. I have posted quite a few in the fake group of VEF. thanks, Malakon. |

Coloring discussions
@malakon - I'm going to do something unusual and make a post to answer your questions without having some images to deliver at the same time.
First, I need to inform you that, unlike the vast majority of colorizers out there, I do not use Photoshop. My program of choice is Micrografx Picture Publisher which I've used since it's inception many years ago. Because of that, our terminology is not congruent but differs in many aspects. I do not, for example, have layers that I can use to work on different parts of the image then adjust them individually after the fact. I have read some tutorials on coloring with Photoshop and I think I can relate to your processes. Unfortunately, while I recognize many superorities in Photoshop, I'm unwilling at this point to peel off $700 US for it when my latest version of PictPub was $50. I checked your colored version of Cheryl Ladd (the first one) and find that you did do some highlighting of the flesh so your feeling that it seems flat is surprising. I'm restricted to one color and placing any highlights directly on the the image with my only adjustments allowed being the undo function. You did obviously do a much more extensive workup on the second picture of her and are apparently more satisfied with it. My suggestion would be to experiment with different techniques and you will become more accustomed to making adjustments that satisfy you better. I would also suggest that you explore the tutorials on the web which show how others have worked with that package. Just Google Coloring photos and you will find a lot of advice on what to do. Regarding Elizabeth, much better, and you obviously did a major color adjustment to accomplish what you wanted. But I still have some problems with it. I've blown up and cut off different portions to show you what I mean. First photo blown up 400% shows some dark edges to her outfit. I would guess that you cut around the outfit and lightened it some to make it take a better color. But if you did the masking at normal magnification, you missed the proper edge which caused the dark borders which are marked with a red line on the photo. I almost always do my work at 4x magnification to reduce these problems and I would suggest you do the same. Second photo blown up 200% shows your coloring ran outside the lines on the outfit as shown again by the red lines. Again, working at 4x makes most of this disappear. I still found a couple of places where the pelt color wasn't smoothly faded into the background (left shoulder and paw) but this is much better. About the eyes on your new Cheryl Ladd picture, the color is way too dark and needs to be lightened some. But, for a large picture, I make the eyes two toned which is more realistic, especially for blue eyes. Look closely at any close up photo of blue eyes and you will see that the majority of the eyes are light blue but have a darker color rim around the outside. I've done one large image of Bettie Page of which a segment is shown below that illustrates how I treat the eyes when the image is large enough. Note that this image has not be magnified, it's really this size. See the post for this delivery at: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/sho...&postcount=474 The second image on the line below is a portrait of Elizabeth Taylor I used for a master when I was working on some of her images. Note again the eyes. I hope this is helping and doesn't seem like nit-picking. These are the same criticisms I would make of my own images in order to make them better.

malakon feedback
@demsal8 - thanks again!
I use Corel paint shop pro for windows (psp X3 http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satelli...1&tabview=tab0), not photoshop. psp cost me about $70. It does pretty much everything photoshop does, and photoshop plugin filters are almost always psp compatible. Corel also bought Picture Publisher it seems. After getting used to doing layered work in psp, I could not go back to a non layered editor. However, the results of your work show how good you are with Picture Publisher, so I see no reason to change for you. However, if you get a 30 day trial of psp, you may be amazed at what it can do. Appreciate your feedback on EM photo, you are correct I got slaphappy with the edges on her leotard, and should go back and fix them, the dark edges are roughly done. Thanks for the tip on the eyes, I will give it a shot. And you are not nitpicking, we both seem to equally value quality results, and I appreciate the feedback. Malakon. |

3 pics to the Master !!
Hi Master !
I have these 3 for you. First, Raquel Welch, perhaps a fake, nobody knows really, and it's not the subject of my post. Two and Third, Brigitte Bardot. I give to you two of a set, cause perhaps for you there's one better than the other ( for working ). Tell me if no problem, and if you can give new life to these " classics pics "

The three horsemen
@ishy137 - your three ladies are finished. I was unable to locate the middle one in my collection so she will remain unidentified at the moment. On the first Hannah Viek made two hardcore sets that I know of, both with her boyfriend. On the second, the logo seems to have disappeared somehow, and the third was extra work for all the detail in the picture. Let me know if you want any changes.
564 images colored since May 23rd @blondifan - your lady should be done within a day, and might be done before I go to sleep tonight. @Mr Bond - three more actresses for your collection should be done tomorrow. Note that I have another copy of the Raquel photo which is slightly smaller but covers more width, shown below. Let me know which one you want done. @malakon - this is getting to be a regular tutorial between us. I noticed another fault on your 'blue eyes' version of Miss Ladd, the area between her legs has not been colored. On the final one you did an excellent job, no errors that I notice. But there seems to be an interpretive hitch; on the reflection a section of her legs was not colored, the lower leg area.
