Just wanted to share a few of the many touching tributes I've seen these past few days.

ABC7 out of Los Angeles is reporting that actor William Christopher, best known for his role as Father Mulcahy in the TV series MASH, has passed away at age 84.

Sadly the news is Correct he died on New Years Eve another great cast member of MASH who has died along with Harry Morgan (2011) Larry Linville (2000) and Wayne Rogers (2015) Father Francis Mulcahy was on the show for 11 years he was 84.

Before William Christopher was part of the MASH, he played several roles in Hogans Heroes from small roles as an English Spy to filling in for Larry Hovis.

Since my original post, sadly it now appears that at least 39 people, including 16 foreigners, have died in an attack on a nightclub in Istanbul packed with New Year's Eve revellers, according to Turkey's interior minister. The Reina nightclub was attacked at about 01:30 local time (22:30 GMT), by a gunman, believed to have been dressed in a Santa costume (as reported by CNN Turk).

Another 69 people were being treated in hospital. The location of the gunman is unknown, however some eyewitnesses spoke of there being not one but two attackers.

Security in Istanbul had been heightened ahead of New Year's Eve celebrations with around 17,000 police officers on duty. Unfortunately this has not prevented the Reina nightclub attack, which now has the dubious honour of being the first terrorist attack of 2017.

2016 is not evil or cursed or whatever. It's just a number. I sure a boatload of people will cark it in 2017 too.

Christopher passed away Saturday morning, agent Robert Malcolm said. The actor was 84.
The actor had a small carcinoma and had been diagnosed about 18 months ago, said his son, John Christopher, who added that his father was doing great until two or three weeks ago when his health started to decline.
William Christopher was at home in Pasadena, California, with his wife Barbara when he passed peacefully and without pain, Malcolm said.
Born in Evanston, Illnois, Christopher started his acting career in New York City in several off-Broadway productions that eventually led to Broadway shows
