Leicester claim they sent the papers in on time but the system used says they arrived late as its based on the time they arrive not when sent. They are now appealing it and have the backing of the FA. However FIFA says rules are rules and late is late even if its only 14 seconds. The problem now seems to be some confusion about what happens to the player. Some reports say he will stay at Leicester and then they will simply register him again in January. However other reports say that if the decision stands the deal will not go through. Funnily enough this is the second season in a row where the same player and clubs were involved in a failed move. Last season the deal fell apart at the last minute due to Sporting CP blocking the move late on.

Premier League clubs have voted to close next summer's transfer window before the season starts.
Managers have complained that the ability for players to move when the season is under way causes disruption to their squads and preparations. From next season, the window will close at 17:00 BST on the Thursday before the Premier League season begins. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41188235 |

World Cup year 2018 will not be much of a window for PL clubs.
Lets shoot ourselves in the foot. FIFA should make the decision on a summer window, 1 June to 31 July would seem an idea time, well for me anyway. |

Green grocers running the sweet shop ragged, while the Gooners finally stake a claim for the title.
The sweet shop is closing early today. Last edited by victor meldrew; September 9th, 2017 at 03:22 PM.. |

Liverpool against Man City, started well, we got their defence running all over the place but thst game was awful, Mane shouldn't have been sent off for that challenge, he had every right to go for the ball. It killed the game fir me and that will be hard to take , but move on and onto the Champions League and Sevilla - we owe them for the Eurooa League final last year.
