[QUOTE=buttsie;2376005]That illustrates the new fairplay rules perfectly
Biggest stadium wins handsdown Arsenal finishes runner-up again....LOL Will be interesting to see if Arsenal with their 60,000 seater start to get a bit more loyalty from their stars given match day revenue is not included in the fairplay rules. 105million in losses over 3 years pretty much means the billionaire tools can no longer buy players like cattle and dispense with them like turds down a toilet. QUOTE] Arsenal should be the one team that really benefits from the new fair play rules, IF they are enforced. Man Utd a currently hamstrung with paying off the Glaziers debt, which goes some way to limiting what they can spend, without that debt, even Arsenal would not get near them. New stadiums would appear to be a must for some teams, Everton, Liverpool and Spurs, while the mega rich owners teams Chelsea and City would also need new homes. As for the rest, could they afford to take the risk, perhaps Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland, but for the rest, it would be a big risk. My own mob are looking to the OS and it will be a case of filling 60000 seats, although part of the plan is for afforable seating (10000). The only other problem with bigger stadium, is the Johnny newcomers, who have little idea about game, but can brag about the support. |

WARNING: Silly numbers therein My club: Wolves, for their last season in the premier league in 2011-12 had a turnover of 60 million. Uniteds Wage bill for the same period was 160 million.

A has been said theres nothing to stop a team from one country playing in another countrys league. All the top Welsh clubs play in England, Berwick Rangers play in Scotland, Gretna played in the Northern Premier League until the early nineties.
However if Rangers and/or Celtic were to apply to play in the league then I would want them to start in the conference. Personally I wouldnt want them though, why? Too much sectarianism. |

Arsenal did very little defensively and Bayern's early pressure told. I think Arsenal hadn't got the the FA Cup exit well out of their systems., and I think it showed. I wouldn't be surpriswed if Bayern had seen that game and thought to themselves 'Well that's the way to beat them.'
As for Wenger the plan to to play a weakened side in the cup game in the hope of winning last night certainly backfired in spectacular fashion didn't it? I think he'd be far better off managing the French rugby team!! I don't think Arsenal's coped well with the pressure and the early goals they gave away are pretty much in the schoolboy error department. |

Arsenal in front of goal were little better, Giroud probably missing the chance of the night, that would have made things so different.
But in reality this is the Arsenal of the last eight years, at times superb football, but let down by missed chances and schoolboy defending. What,s more noticable is since David Dein left the club, it has all gone wrong trophy wise, as he seemed to control who they bought and the contracts and without him Wenger has too much on his plate? |
