A short (porn) movie from the celluloid days.

The name comes from that their ends were sometimes stitched together to form an endless loop, i.e. when the film ended it instantly started from the beginning.

In Wim Wenders' movie Im Lauf der Zeit (whose protagonist is involved with cinema) there is a scene where Bruno shows Pauline a very short loop in a cinema, i.e. one of those with the ends connected.
