I have been playing around trying to learn bass for a few months but not with too much success. I have an Epiphone EB0 3/4 scale bass and a Marshall bass amp, but I don't use the amp very often as my fingering is not that good yet, and I get a lot of string noise as a result of bad technique. I'm still building strength in my fingers and trying to get the technique for plucking right. It's not as easy as it looks, but I've learned three or four songs and a couple of bass licks.
Six strings are way beyond me. |

I spent this afternoon setting up my '65 360 ric. It was a nightmare! Might sign up for a proper guitar tech course. Still playing really well for an old lady. The big debate between guitarists has always been, should you take all the strings off and restring or do it one by one. My opinion is that taking them all off is ok if you restring right away. Leaving it for a day or two will damage the neck. Another myth is that you must detune if flying or posting a guitar.

I also have a chopped up early 60's SG (like Pete Townsend's but without a bound neck) but it's in pieces and I have to figure out what to do with it. One day, I'll find a Les Paul Standard in tobacco-burst with a few tiger stripes (like Duane Allmans) and will be buried with it when I die. |

I've just bought an Epiphone EA-250, made by the Matsumoku company in Japan 1972. Anyone else have one or played one??
