I found out in a bit of a strange way! I was loafing about, waiting for my car, and one of the lads had left a copy of The Mirror lying about, I saw the headline 'University Scientists work out formula to win lottery'. Thinking it was a joke story, I read the article, Staff at the Faculty of Science at Plymouth University, have won the 8.5 million roll over Jackpot, there followed a list of names, and among them was hers!

Yep a little annoying, but as I said, I know her well enough to know that the daughters would hugely benefit, so as said they are secure, so that is far from annoying!

All these reboots and remakes of properties from my childhood. Kids nowadays are too busy reliving their parents childhood to have a childhood of their own.

My apartment building management is irritating me, because they still haven't switched on the central heating yet, despite it being just a few degrees above absolute bloody zero. I'm wearing my wife's quilted dressing gown right now as I type, because I have to sit here and work and it's the warmest item of clothing in the house.

(although why I'm also wearing her satin negligee underneath, I'd find somewhat more difficult to explain).

I'm annoyed about what Harvey Weinstein did. The guy thought he was above the laws because he had money and power. So yes, that's totally disgusting. He's an asshole and a perv.
But the all-Hollywood hypocrisy annoys me too. I mean I'm pretty sure a lot of people knew about Weinstein's "bad habits" towards women but no one talked about it until he was caught last week. Even the women who where assaulted/raped/touched by him for years never told anything and suddenly everyone remembers being violented by Miramax's producer, his so-called friends (I mean the guys who knew but shut up in order to have their movies being made) are horrified and disgusted (which is a normal reaction regarding what Weinstein did) and everyone suddenly condamns the established facts.
Now don't get me wrong: I think that Weinstein deserves to be strongly punished and I'll never accept what he did. And the women he assaulted against their will are all victims of his behaviour. But apparently that's no new thing for him and what annoys me is all those sudden testimonies now that everyone know Weinstein will never be a way to help their careers anymore.
Careerism sucks.

The structure of our society is still based on that.
Powerful, rich people (often old ones) pay, influence or intimidate young, harmless or poor people in the way to abuse of them.

The terror of power, money, seniority.

There are thousands of stories like this.
And if you are the guy who want to denounce the facts, think well before to act, because you have a huge risk to see your head cut by all the structure (hierarchy) and nobody will help you.
