Xmas Bonus Post #2: The second of my Xmas posts is Blythe Daly who was born December 5, 1901 in London, England to Arnold Daly and Mary Blyth, both well known actors. She went on to become an actress herself who appeared in stage productions on Broadway and who also appeared in several silent and sound films. However, true to the spirit of the thread Daly's acting career never really took off. She had several bit-parts in early silent films, and well into the 1930's she had small appearances, but always uncredited. By the 1960's she had all but disappeared.

However, her fame, such as it was, came from the fact that she was one of those gals who swung both ways, and she was renowned for her 'companionship' of various notable lesbians. Blyth became know as a lively character among the Hollywood elite, described as tanned and athletic while playing tennis and riding horses ... just the sort of tomboy gal who would attract the sewing circles of Hollywood. She became known as one of "The Four Riders of the Algonquin" due to her association with Tallulah Bankhead, Estelle Winwood and actress Eva Le Gallienne, with the four of them being regular attenders at the famous "Algonquin Round Table".

She was also involved in a minor incident when the Syracuse Herald of September 13, 1925 reported that in the public dress rehearsal of a play in which she was cast as 'Edna' the character announced that she had 'killed her father in revenge for an unprintable crime'. The charge was so shocking that it apparently 'stunned even those in the audience who were not easily stunned'. Between the acts Mr. Tully the playwright himself regretted the confession. So on the Monday evening it was amended, and 'Edna' accuses her step-father, not her father (which was considered more acceptable).

Finally she was involved in a much reported marital scandal in which a man called George Tiffany was alleged by a lady only named as "Helen" in reports to have 'married' her in a hotel ceremony before sexual relations took place. He denied this and said that they only took part in the dog show, and produced a corroborating affidavit citing Blythe as a 'witness'. The papers had a field day, with "Helen" telling the courts that "Blythe Daly was jealous of me, and when we left for Baltimore she forced her way into the car. She suspected we were married or were going to be married in Elkton. George and I kept our secret. We finally gave her the slip and when we retired for the night of Jan. 27, Blythe Daly, who was intoxicated, actually forced her way into our room. George and I had difficulty in packing her off to her room".

• Brownsville Herald (Brownsville, Texas) - April 9, 1945: "Blythe Daly, the actress, is the latest to have her hair ruined (practically all of it gone) in a permanent wave gadget."
• Cumberland Evening Times (Cumberland, Maryland) - July 12, 1967: "Years ago, Blythe Daly, an actress, wishing to compliment Jessica Reed, a Ziegfeld girl, said: 'Darling, you look like a piece of Italian renaissance.' Jessica, having expected a put-down, snarled: 'Yeah, and you don't look so good yourself, you bitch!'"

Big Brother's Shabnam Gets Silver Tongued into the Sack

BIG Brother babe Shabnam Paryani fell prey to a silver-tongued sexpert who charmed her into bed in just TWO HOURS.

Sean Young's career has tailed off recently (well free falled) ... but the 52-year-old has not seemed to realise this, and also that she probably 'has issues' which are the reasons. She has featured on this thread already, but she appears to be on what politely can be described as 'a descending spiral'.

Her latest fun and games, came at the 2012 Oscars when she attempted to gatecrash the Governor's Ball in Los Angeles (Beckhams, Tom Cruise et al). She is alleged to have argued with a guard at the event and she was placed under citizens' arrest by another member of the security team then taken away by police and booked for battery. Oops. She posted bail of $20,000 early on Monday morning and she then gave a rambling interview after her release from custody, which suggested that drinkies were once again involved to some degree or another. Her explanation was that 'I was standing outside the cord, waiting and seeing friends that were going up to the Governor's Ball, but then I was 'carted off' to spend four hours at the Hollywood police', adding 'shame on you (the Academy) for that.'

Her latest escapade follows an ill fated appearance on the reality show 'Skating With The Stars'. But sadly her comeback did not last long as she was eliminated in the second show of the ABC series in November after falling onto the ice twice.

All this brings back memories of her 2006 ejection from the Vanity Fair Oscar party, when she tried to sneak in behind Jennifer Aniston ... In a later interview she said of that incident, 'It was degrading. But when you have nothing to lose, it's really not that big of a deal.’ ... its not quite clear what she hopes to gain by all of these incidents, as its obvious that they don't aid her chances of getting work. Her last film was the horror movie 'Parasomnia' in 2008.

Still as we have seen before 'fame is a drug' these girls can't give up, and there ain't no low, low enough for some of them to try and get it back.

She then released a video response in which she confirmed it was her and stated that she was both heartbroken and devastated by its release by her ex-boyfriend ... he has suggested that there was two parts to any story and promised a counter statement soon.
