Is Ryanair really that bad?

We have a few no frills low cost airlines here in the USA that have planes that are constantly breaking down and lost luggage and poor customer service like Allegiant but I have never heard any of them proposing to charge their passengers extra money to use the toilet onboard the plane or charging extra $ to print out boarding passes at the gate.

Yet people keep using them and they are worth almost 7 billion Euros.
