I was getting that with Opera, but went into the browser settings and clicked on adblock. That solved it.

Regardless of what OS , browser , ad /script blockers your using

Ad - pop-ups / unders will eventually find a way through

If they dont the imagehost will either die or kill of uploads to survive

Everytime you see a 404 imagevenue thumb it might be it hasnt been active for 12 months or imagevenue are cost cutting to stay alive / profitable


I use chrome with script safe & adblock and dont see that ad on imagevenue today

Bottom line is all sites are protecting their profits

Download mannagers are the best example - the current codes get nobbled
They crack the update and the downloading that bypasses the ad-revenue continues

Its not hard to see why some imagehosts like some image have closed
and others have servers or worse that are periodically offline

I have noticed some of my thumbs on Pixhost say they are removed.
Many times lately, when I click on a thumb like that, the proper full size image comes up.

Not sure why this is happening.

Mainly want everyone to know to try and open the full size image when you see this.

Even if the full size image comes up, I'm reloading the whole gallery when I find them.
Then set up the old uploads as a mirror gallery link, with a note about the bad thumbs.

Yes, ads like this are annoying.

No, I do not see any ads on pixhost.
I have Firefox 65 with uBlock Origin (and pi-hole (https://pi-hole.net/) as last line of defense).
uBlock blocks stuff from adnium on pixhost:


uBlock Origin works very well, it filters almost all ads.
I also have pi-hole on a Raspberry Pi, which blocks using DNS. But most ads are blocked by uBlock.

For some odd reason when uploading pictures through the Image Uploader PimpandHost will duplicate the pictures at least three times.

p&h has always had a problem handing more than 8 or 10 images at a time; particularly when the total upload exceeds 10mb. Most often you will see the "processing" notification running in a seemingly endless loop, and if you were uploading 12 images you may at times see an indication that p&h is chewing away on 30 or more files.

When using p&h you have to be patient . . .
