I'm not sure if anyone will approve of what I say here, but I am certainly in agreement with Judge Lindsey Kushner who commented about the way girls can be asking for trouble if they go out, get drunk, dress and act the wrong way. Of course there is absolutely no excuse for rape and I don't think the judge was suggesting this having just sentenced some scumbag to six years for raping an 18 year old girl.
However, having seen the way some girls behave in city centres on weekend nights, I sometimes despair. Girls, often quite young - by my standards, totally pissed out of their minds, screaming and swearing at the top of their voices, fighting with each other, urinating in the gutters, having stand up sex in doorways, throwing up over the pavement and dressed like hookers with not much left to the imagination. To me, this is not very different to going shopping in a busy area with a wad of notes sticking out your back pocket that might as well have a notice saying steal me. Rape is a terrible and disgusting thing, but obviously not to some men who probably don't like women or respect them. Is it really asking too much for these girls to use a bit of common sense when they are out and not leave themselves open to a very damaging experience? |

Dutch police break up pro-Erdogan protest at Turkish consulate in Rotterdam as diplomatic row escalates
Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-39246392 The protest follows Turkish President Erdogan's comments that the Dutch government were "Nazi remnants and fascists". Turkish authorities have also sealed off the Dutch embassy and consulate, sources at Turkey’s foreign ministry have said. This diplomatic row erupted from a cancelled rally in Rotterdam to support the Turkish president, which was to be hosted by the Turkish foreign minister. Oddly enough it was my first time in a seafood restaurant, but the food was great. https://montereybayfishgrotto.com/?u...10thConference Used to like the Seashell fish and chip shop in London, but (to me) they haven't been the same since the place caught fire some years ago... Women in (or out of) uniform.
There have been reports in the news recently of an investigation by the U.S. Military into the posting online of 'candid' pictures of female U.S. Marines and other servicewomen without their consent. I hope you will all join me in condemning such activity without demur as not representative of this forum or it's members.
The investigation will also extend to forums that have been set up with the express purpose of sharing these images. V.E.F. was set up with a philosophy of, and continues to embrace, respectfulness to all, including the women whose beauty we love to admire. I have never found any reason to doubt the integrity of any member but I feel it pertinent to point out that given the spotlight on such activities, posts to threads such as Best Sexy Girl in Uniform of the Day should continue to be of the relatively harmless nature they already are.

Due to the prevalence of cameras these days women in all jobs or none are being secretly filmed and posted on the net. Should they all likewise be condemned? What about female celebrities filmed without their express consent, some even posted on this forum? Are they just fair game? What about men being secretly filmed maybe for gay websites? Is that OK? Whilst I accept that there are more cameras about, and that posting is easy, does that, and even should that entitle people to post them?
In the armed forces, and some of the emergency services, women live on the site alongside men, and there is far more opportunity, for those that are so incline to film, either openly or covertly, people of both sexes in candid situations. To my way of thinking, filming them and posting, shows gross disrespect and even contempt at someone who one day soon you may rely on for your life. As for the rest, yes I feel the same too, people whoever they are should have the right to their own lives, without some mawkish creep filming them, I include celebrities in this as well, although I often wonder who the celebrity is, and why the hell they are famous! Whilst I see vince's point, I also agree with rew, but imagine it was your wife or daughter? What about the ones that are filmed inside toilets? I know if it was one of mine, I would use every tool available to find the guy that filmed it, then using his own camera, post the film of our meeting in his name on line! |
