This is a total one-off photo produced by the photographer and was submitted to the Pictures Desk for consideration to be selected and featured on Page 3 (actually Page 5/7/9 back in the day). Once the Editor confirmed that this image of Jane Warner was to be used, the photo was then handed over to the resident artists (pre-Photoshop days!) and notes were made as to any image noterations that were needed to the image - removing blemishes, adding shading etc and how much would be used on the page layout. A diagram was traced from the image, various dimensions notes added and then it was forwarded the printroom staff to use in the final newspaper production and inclusion in the paper seen by the reader. Finally a pen picture write-up clipping was stuck on the reverse of the photo, the date featured stamped and then normally (not noted in this instance), a note made to credit payment to the photographer. There are some duplicated pictures here, but..
..I would say these are probably better , eg for size, or inclusion of caption previously omitted, or exclusion of irrelevant wording
