Snapchat For Windows

I've been trying to find out more information about this subject and I get conflicting information.

I understand that in order to download Snapchat to a Windows application you first need to download an emulator - Bluestacks. This is where the contracting information occurs. Some reports say Bluestacks runs smoothly and without problems on their Windows device. However others say Bluestacks is useless as it sticks and simply does not run on Windows.

Has anyone here had experience of this and what were the result?

Bluestacks ran on Windows 7 for me. I never used it, so eventually I got rid of it.
