As a white man when I complained about lies by the Obama administration I was called a racist bigot. When a friend who happens to be a conservative black man complained about Obamm's lies he was called an Uncle Tom. So which are you a racist bigot or a race traitor?

BTW there is no such thing as an ignorant lie. For it to be a lie it must be willful. GHW Bush did not lie when he said "read my lips no new taxes" than latter agreed to a Democratic tax increase so that he could get a budget passed.

Well, it actually is pretty accurate. In the examples I cited, from my personal life were SC and MA. Going back to 2000, MA has gone Blue every presidential election by 26, 26, 35, 23, and 28 percentage points. Over the same period, South Carolina has gone Red by 16, 17, 9, 10, and 15 percentage points.

How I vote when a resident of those two states really doesn't matter at all.

Now, getting back to the swing states that might not be so swingy (and I'm doing the math in my head and moving pretty quickly, so I apologize if I made any rounding errors) :

Ohio went Red in 6 of the past 10 elections, median margin about 2%, largest margin over the past 5 cycles=Republican +7 in 2016

Pennsylvania went Red 4 of the last 10 elections, median margin about 3%, largest margin over the past 5 cycles=Dems+10 in 2008

Wisconsin - Republican in 3 of the past 10 elections, median margin <1%, largest margin in past 5 elections=Dems+6 in 2008

Michigan - Red in 4 of the last 10 elections, margins Dems+5 in 2000, Dems+3 in 2004, Dems+16 in 2008, Dems+10 in 2012, Republicans+0.2 in 2016

Did those 4 states lean blue ? Hell yeah. Were they a firewall ? Only in the kindling sense of the word. Were they in play ? Yeah, far more than Hillary and the DNC realized.

Hillary lost because (1) she is a phenomenally unlikeable candidate (2) "deplorables" comment (3) she started her touchdown celebration somewhere around the 25 yard line and (4) Comey announces reopening the email investigation while failing to mention that Trump's campaign was under investigation too.

Just MHO, but I think it can be justified.

It was more in the nature of a broken promise. Dear old Ronnie had run up one hell of a deficit and George HW Bush publicly promised that Americans would not be taxed more. Anyone who took him seriously deserved to be disappointed.

$6.77 million dollars spent on various Republican led investigations on Benghazi, and the only real conclusion made is that if the Republicans had funded Embassy security as proposed with that level of money, it likely would not have happened.

With respect to the original question; I would have never voted for Trump had Clinton not run/ She actually forced my hand. My rationale was that as screwy as Trump might be, the system will either be able to control him or minimize the damage he does. Clinton, on the other Hand is less stupid but immeasurably more malicious. In addition she has the heft of the Democratic leadership behind her and she has political alliances, some of which doubtlessly are indebted to her.

Hell yes.

Focusing on the improvements under this administration:

1) I am solidly in the middle class. My take home pay went up $130 a paycheck after the tax cut. When you add up how much more I took home and my refund from year over year it was 33% more than the year before.

2) The ACA destroyed my healthcare and reached into my pocket and took more out. I was disappointing in it not being struck down, thanks John McCain. But the small changes have paid dividends. The pharmaceutical bill that went into law knocked my monthly prescription bill down from $140 a month down to $50 a month.

3) Manufacturing jobs are up to 600,000, more than predicted, since the corporate tax rate was reduced. The U-6 hasn't stayed this long under 8 since the tech boom under the Trump administrations policies.

4) The U-3 hasn't been in the 4's this long since the tech boom.

We also have historic lows in unemployment across all 6 government numbers going back to when the world was still in recovery from World War II.

5) Two friends work in the steel industry. Since regulations have been reduced and tariffs implemented on those countries gaming the system coal production is up. US Steel has opened two mills that were closed in the last 20 years and is planning to open a brand new plant.

6) NAFTA has been renegotiated from the disaster Ross Perot was 100% correct on.

7) China is having it's feet FINALLY put to the fire between their currency manipulation, copyright violations, insane tariffs and standards on foreign imports and circumventing trade deals to dump into the export market. How many people know that China's stock market is down, the Yuan is showing severe inflation and their economy's GDP This is why they are at the table and working to calm down North Korea as they finally have been pantsed.

8) Trump is trying to get immigration under control. Someone needs to explain to me why the left is pandering to illegal immigrants over legal immigrants and citizens.

9) Prison reform was championed by this President.

10) ISIS is gone as easy as he stated because Trump let the military do it's job.

11) Russia isn't screwing around in the Ukraine or Middle east. They armed the Ukrainians, after Russia violated the tri-pact Obama ignored. He bombed the Syrians and killed 100 Russian military personnel for violating the cease fire.

12) Trump ripped up the BS Iranian nuke deal that wasn't even passed through Congress. Iran's economy is a mess again and they haven't been able to financially support ISIS and Hezbollah due to being isolated again.

13) Trump ripped up the BS Paris Accord which the US was financially responsible for 80%. The reason the Yellow Vest protest is STILL going on in France and growing is Macron tried to push the funding onto French citizens with a gas tax. They finally said enough is enough will these taxes. You have everyone; left, right, extremists, commoners, etc... out everywhere in the country protesting.

14) North Korea has stopped launching missiles or performing any raids on South Korea. Trump is not starting ANY new wars unlike Bush and Obama.

15) The US is an energy exporter for the first time in almost 100 years and we are only in year 3 of a 10 year energy industry growth phase.

I can go on but I have never seen a President in my lifetime do what he promised during a campaign. The elitist right and hates him because he isn't pandering to their rich elite. The extreme left hates him because he won't rip up the Constitution and stopped them from turning the country into the 4th Reich.

The big question is what are the elitist Democrats and Nazicrats offering that will make my life better? All I hear is take away this right, tax more, blame this group over that group, let the government have more power, etc.... Everything they accuse others of in their words THEY are guilty of in their actions.
