When Did You Last Pay For Porn?

With an endless supply of free and instantaneous porn it's hard to see how the professional porn industry can survive long-term.

The dawning of the internet was the beginning of the end for the printed porn magazine and I am sure it's only matter of time before we see the last of some of the old time greats disappear from the top shelf of the local newsagent shop - if they haven't already!

Which leads me to the question of....

When did you last buy a porn magazine and what magazine was it? Did you feel it was value for money?

Do you, or would you, pay for access to a website? Or, in the modern day of porn, do you now see and expect porn to be a free of charge commodity product of the internet?

If porn is seen as an free of charge item, then what does the future hold in store for both those companies, and models, who earn a living from our viewing pleasures?

Likewise, without the ability to make a profit what will the future hold in store for porn in general?

2009. Whenever I would drive to NYC with a client, on the way home, I would stop in one of the adult stores in midtown and grab some discounted dvds or magazine bundles. Or off the Jersey turnpike, I have an adult house that has a large inventory and I was tight with the clerks and they would throw me an extra 3 pack of magazines. And I belonged to at least one porn site or web mistress' site.

Somewhere around that time, my ex found some of my credit card receipts and complained about how much money I was blowing on porn. She didn't mind that I had it. Just stop paying for it. Plus I realized I had a ton of bookmarked porn sites that I rarely visited so I started to frequent them more.

And truthfully I have a bootleg guy in the hood who gets me regular mainstream movies and he sometimes has some XXX features so if something catches my eye, I might grab one. Not really the same though. When I go to him, I'm expecting regular movies so I'm not in a porn frame of mind.

I buy "tokens" on MFC which directly supports the performers I like, so very recently. MFC take their cut, obviously, the tokens cost 0.08USD each in bulk and the performers get 0.05USD for each one they receive irrespective of what I pay for them (which is a lot at the moment given the weakness of GBP against USD).

Buying a magazine? Maybe 15 years ago, maybe more.

Same for me, as soon as i had a decent internet connection, i haven't paid for porn anymore.

I guess by the lack of responses this post has had then it highlights the legendary truth when you never owned up to buying your stash of porn magazines and always told your mates you got them given to you from someone you knew.

I bought a few mags a couple of years ago for the first time in years. Got a few recent issues of Razzle, Escort and Fiesta, as well as a couple of reader's wives mags. I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the magazines nowadays - some of the girls were rather sexy, but quite a few weren't my type at all. Also, the paper just felt cheap and low quality, plus I recognised a lot of the wives from the early to mid 00's. I guess the publishers just recycle a lot of older material for whatever reason.

Having said that it was still quite a turn-on going into the shop, reaching up to the top shelf and paying the chavvy but attractive brunette who no doubt was fully aware I'd soon be having a good old wank sesh. Shame real life doesn't play out like the letters pages where the shop assistant closes the shop after inviting the customer to 'see the real thing'....

Maybe 2002/3. I used to buy copied porn dvds from car boot sellers. I then realized that if they got them off the net then so could I.
