Fiesta vs Escort

Escort. It was the first regular buy I made. Talking about the eighties now, my late teens and early twenties. I bought Fiesta too, but Escort was the one I preferred - readers wives section, pull out centre and cover, plus the 'girl next door' nature of the girls, always felt I could bump into one of them around town. Never did though.

Escort for me, it was the first top shelfer I ever saw as a boy, and there was a model in it that I fell in love with. I never have found her on this site.

Escort, by a mile. Parade for that little bit filthier. I thought the likes of Fiesta and Knave were a little over-produced, even back then.

I liked them both, used to get the two of them regularly fiesta because of the readers wife's section and I liked the specials as well and escort mainly for auntie Jayne and her various girls

Only bought Fiesta once or twice - didn't rate it at all as an 18 year old in the late 80's. Full of old munters I thought (LOL!) Escort I did like quite a bit, but thought Razzle was even better and bought that far more often. Of the other mags from the cheaper end of the market, I also thought Parade was really good. A little later I often bought 'Girls In Uniform' and 'Eros' too.

My favourite of the mags with higher production values was Club initially, then Knave once my tastes started to 'develop'. My first mag was actually a Mayfair 'Best Of' with Joanne Latham in it, but that seemed a bit 'vanilla' once I'd seen Razzle, etc.

The last mags I bought were in the late '90's, 'Leg Show', 'Taboo', 'Gent', stuff like that.

'Readers Wives Striptease' has to be one of my all-time favourite features of any UK top-shelf mag- Pure genius.

OK, yes they sometimes cheated and featured known models (although didn't Nici Sterling pretty much start out as as a Reader's Wife before going on to be a porn star in the US- I know she did a FRW Striptease, but can never remember whether this pre-dated the start of her 'professional' porn career?'), but they did feature some stunningly attractive women over the years.

Like you say, the appeal of seeing 'Mrs Average-next-door' naked with her legs spread showing just how sexy she could be given the opportunity is something that's never really waned for me.

Back in the days when I bought Fiesta pretty much every month, I always used to look forward to seeing that month's Striptease, especially at the time of year they featured their annual Readers Wives competition winners-

Fiesta every time, simply because of one for the ladies. They did a holiday special once (mid 80's maybe 86?) that had a 2 page spread, called "pick of the pricks" where all the the biggest cocked guys were featured, I'd love to see it again once more.

It was almost impossible in the UK to find magazine porn with well hung guys posing on their own back then. I think Members only was probably the first which started in about 1990 I think.
