That is the most ridiculous statement i have ever read.

Humans have never been, nor never will be equal, no matter what the system, capitalism, communism, national socialism, democracy, dictatorship, etc.

There will always be the haves and have not's (i am one of the latter)

I am a staunch monarchist, a flag waving, God save the Queening, subject of her Britannic Majesty.

The thought of a pompous elected head of state, someone along the lines of John (adulterer) Major or Tony Liar makes my skin crawl.

At the last count around 80% of Brits support the monarchy, so if you want a republic, i suggest you find another country.

As i said, the latest opinion polls show a steady 80% for a monarchy.

Don't worry, I'll drive you to the ferry myself.

So someone born into a "Royal family " is better than me complete rubbish. What do they the "royal family do for a living?" nothing! You will not see harry driving a forklift truck, you will not see any off them lift a finger! It insults me to watch them walk about in military uniforms. Never EVER has a royal went front line. My Grandfather was in the royal navy locked in the engine room. No escape. No royal about. It is disgusting to watch them prance about.

Human beings are equal. Unless you agree to slavery. And everyone should stand and fight for that.

Harry went to Afghanistan when he didn't need to. There isn't really a front line there - they're everywhere. Also, royals a long time ago were always in the front line - that's how they got to where they were.

I also am from a working class background, and have worked to get to where I am today (wherever that is! ). Having worked hard and saved some money, I intend to give my child as good a start as possible in their adult life. They'll still have to work, but if they do the same for their children and so on then at some point they may be lucky enough not to have to work as hard as I did (or perhaps you did). Is that really so bad?

harry went to afghanistan but he had ghurkas guarding him plus personal sas bodyguards.the danger of him being in harms way was remote.

Monarchy is probably the lesser of all possible evils, but as a British citizen I believe it is my inalienable right to take the piss out of them while they behave like a bunch of pompous asses.

i didnt know the sas and ghurkas could stop missiles aimed towards royalty better than at anyone else.. or stop land mines or ied's from blowing up whatever vehicle harry was in either...??? close guard or not, he didnt have to go, but did... credit to him for that....

on a similar front, does william really need to be doing air rescue's, dangerous as they can be for the crew and pilots; when he could just swan around and be like most other royals....?? he does it because he wants to try and show he's trying to be as normal as he is allowed to be...

its the old time royal backrooms staff you want to aim your vitriol towards......

heard something the other day where philip suggested using phones or walkie talkies for passing messages thru the palace, rather than the silver tray and some plod walking half a mile thru corridors to deliver it... he was told in no uncertain terms... "this is the way we've always done it, and we will continue to do so..!" sounds like it's the advisors behind the royal family who need the biggest kick up the arse in my bok... it's them who keep the monarchy and all the royals from getting into the 21st century, not the royals themselves... they are just dumbly or blindly tied to these antiquated, outdated, stupid, banal policies still followed from two centuries of monarches in the past.........!!!???

what worked for henry viii isnt going to work for elizabeth ii, nor charles iii, should he be so named, or william iii. as i beleive may be his title one day....??? the queen should also have to retire at a sensible age, before death, at least ...........in my opinion.........!!

First of all, please do not insult them, you know full well we have a rule about that. (no swearing either)

The Royal Family work like everybody else, playing hosts to numerous foreign business types at home and abroad encouraging them to invest in the UK, William is a RN Search and Rescue pilot, and you can be sure there is no place for passengers in the helicopter) various others are patrons of numerous charities.

The King and Queen stayed in London during WW2 (when advised that her children should be evacuated to Canada she said "The children will not leave without me, i will not leave without the King, and the King will never leave" ) Prince Philip served in the RN during WW2, so did the Earl Mountbaten (HMS Kelly), Prince Andrew served during the Falklands war (part of which was as a missile decoy) and Harry served in Afghanistan.
I believe the Queens uncle was killed during WW1,

My late father also served in the engine room during WW2, the merchant navy, he had 2 ships torpedoed out from underneath him.
