Has anyone used "videopad" movie editing software?
I want to learn how to edit movies, specifically how to remove annoying parts of scenes I otherwise like
So I looked for free software, and videopad is the first program I found Can anyone comment on it, or recommend something better? All help and comments are appreciated |

Avidemux is my weapon of choice for such tasks, and it can do much more.
It's easy to use once you get the hang of it, with loads of advice online. and it's free http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/ |

If you just want to cut out scenes you need software that makes a direct stream copy and does not re-encode.
So my first choice would be Cut Assistant The other would be Avidemux. Make sure you set Video to 'copy'.

Many thanks for the above suggestions. Unfortunately, CutAssistant and Avidemux failed to install. Maybe I did something wrong?
Anyway, If anyone's still interested in this subject, I've found an alternative freeware cutter called Freemake Video Converter. It's easy to use, and it converts hatfulls of of formats on hatfulls of platforms - I haven't tested conversion because I don't need it, but you can check the user ratings etc. There are also plenty of YouTube videos for support But most important for me, it allows you to cut videos. That's all I wanted Here's a URL if you want to check it out: http://www.freemake.com/free_video_converter/ |
