One of my favorite moments in Civil War history. 1864. General Grant's reaction to his staffs' grave doubts and fears that they can defeat the legendary Robert E. Lee:

I would have thought that a number of you would have posted this by now, but my word searches for this forum didn't turn it up.

And I can't claim to have thought of it my own either (although I had seen the movie when it first came out) - it is used in "The Worlds End", which I just saw...
