Had to take the day off to wait in for the gas man to come and service the boiler. He turned up early so I got the shopping in a day early and although I don't drink a great deal now I rewarded myself with a couple of these...
...a nice dry cider that's not too 'appley'. All in all a good day.

Hands up who else didn't know appley was a real word
Wasn't intending (Honest ) to partake , but ..... No I`ll not give my albeit valid excuses. As you've all read them before Annnnnnyway Finally the drink and glass match Now I`m not sure if it`s the fact these cost a crazy reduced (Brace yourselves) £3.25 (No I didn't buy them off the back of a lorry) per four pack But they`re tasting mighty fine

I can't drink. After contracting Hep C in the Navy 33 years ago from unknown sources and subsequently getting it cured by the doctor with their new medicine this year (a three month prescription is $91,000), the doctor still informed me that it was not a ticket to go drinking or to catch up on drinking or to even have a drink. So that's the best I can offer to this thread, but thought I'd add to it.

Today's drink is from Lithuania: Aiko Pale Rinkuskiai Premium Lager. Pours a clear light amber with a creamy head that lasts for awhile. Strong alcohol content of 9.5%. Tastes of malty sweetness, fruity, with traces of cinnamon and ginger. Very little hop bitterness. Though it has a high alcohol content the taste of this is overshadowed by the beer's sweetness. Okay overall. |
