Before they became famous Steve Coogan, Chris Barrie(Red Dwarf's Arnold Rimmer) and Rob Brydon all did impressions, one of which was the late Ronnie Corbett. Today was a special tribute to Ronnie at Westminster Abbey where they celebrated the life of a great comic genius(one half of the Two Ronnies, the other being Ronnie Barker) and his famous monologue chair was present whilst the priests brought in FOUR candles in homage to their famous sketch where Ronnie Barker goes in to a shop and asks for four candles, which he is given but is misunderstood because he wanted "fork handles, handles for forks" It is a brilliant sketch and was a fitting tribute to a much loved double act and a much missed comedian. Rob Brydon did the voice when telling a story about ringing him up - he still has the answerphone messages that were left on HIS phone in reply.

Did you know...
German Luftwaffe Field Marshal Erhard Milch was the only German to be assaulted by an Allied officer with his own badge of office?

In 1945 Milch surrendered to a British commando by presenting his Field Marshal's baton. The officer had recently been involved in the liberation of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, and in a fit of rage broke the baton over Milch's head.

That British commando showed great restraint. A lesser man would have applied that baton towards Milch's lower anatomy.

The lunar mineral ARMALCOLITE is named after the crew of Apollo 11. Namely, Neil ARMstrong, Buzz ALdrin and Michael COLlins - I never knew that, but then again I've never heard of a mineral called armalcolite in the first place!

The only word that's in order is "Wert" as in "Hail to Thee Blithe Spirit,Bird Thou never wert"

Two different actors have won an oscar for playing the same character - Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro, playing Vito Corleone in the Godfather films. Interestingly, in his other oscar-winning performance, De Niro played a character (Jake La Motta in 'Raging Bull') who quotes dialogue from the movie 'On the Waterfront', dialogue originally spoken by a character played by Brando.
