I get a distinct Rapidshare feeling here. Are they falling apart? Their offer of unlimited storage for a ridiculous price was always too good to be true. Their premium offer still states a 100TB! of cold storage, but according to the new disclaimer in French cold storage will now be limited to 2TB while hot storage is still unlimited. In other words, from now on they will be like all the others out there!

Well, if they suddenly start deleting files you can bitch at them and say that this is not what you paid for when you purchased premium.

If they're still advertising 100 TB for the premium offer, then that's false advertising if they do something to the account after you paid for it.

Possibly relates to when 1fichier had its credit card facilities removed by the courts
but it does seem to be a recurring theme over a longer period so maybe not


I have been using 1fichier for a while. Not for piracy purposes but we all know what this server is used for.

Recently i received this email:

According to our ToS, that you fully accepted, you are not allowed to abuse of our services Your account host 68.37TB of cold storage. We can not allow such usages We recommand you to remove files you do not need or contact the support to find a financial solution. If not, your files will be removed within 7 days.

Edit: I have removed some stuff and kept around 46TB. I recived the notification again.. It seems that the unlimited storage is quite limited actually. Now i am keeping 30TB. If you ask me, i will get the notification again

Other folks have similar sized accounts but they arent sharing in public

I'd suspect something like this in 2013 might be occuring on a smaller scale

All the big boys like amazon , google , microsoft drive that used to use unlimited to get customers on board dont offer them thesedays - those unlimited accounts dropped to 1TB

I never had a problem downloading, but now I get this message....'Advertising is essential to the provision of the free trial offer.
To continue, you must disable any advertising/tracking blocking (adblock, browser parameters).
! Do not disable your Antivirus !'

My adblocker is disabled for 1fichier.com, no matter how many times I click on the link I cannot download, advice please?

Unless something changed recently, there's no need to turn off adblockers.

Thanks for the link. I tried it and it works without a problem (in Firefox, with UBlock active).

Do you get the orange box to click under that large message? Or did you mean that box is unresponsive?

You just need to log in every other day or so, cookies expire fast, take special care before uploading files, it might look like you're signed in but you're not and then won't be able to find the file in your list. Happened to me once or twice.
