Her father's was a Dutch executive with Shell Oil ; her mother is of German Spanish and French descent.
The career of Linda Christian reached its peak in the years 1940's and 1950's .

In the late 46 , she meets Tyrone Power for the first time in Acapulco,where he's
making Captain from Castile, and she's filming " Tarzan and the Mermaids " (below)

Linda Christian's fame,however, is derived largely from having wed Tyrone Power.
She and Power are the parents of actress Taryn Power and singer Romina Power.
She is also noted for being the first Bond girl , appearing in 1954 TV adaptation
of the James Bond novel " Casino Royale " . In 1963 she starred in an episode of
The Alfred Hitchcock Hour TV series called " An Out for Oscar " .

56 screen caps of Linda Christian as Valerie Mathis from Climax! season 1 episode 3, Casino Royale (1954). The quality on these is extremely poor. As it says in the first cap these are a kinescope capture of a live broadcast which was then transferred to DVD (with possible intervening transfers, I don't know). In the interest of preserving my own sanity I've done almost nothing to try to improve the images. If you are a true image manipulation wizard and are interested in trying to improve these, send me a PM and I will make a RAR file of my untouched Bitmap files available to you. Mostly I'm making these available for those of you with a vague interest in the TV and movie history of James Bond. I'll close this commentary out with this tidbit: in this version, Bond is an American.
