Can't delete folder - Page 2

Alllllllright then lol. Try this. Within the same location as the troublesome
folder is, create another folder, then drag and drop it into the new folder.
Open that folder to see if it's there, then back out of that new folder, and
delete it and all of it's contents. If it allows you to delete your new folder,
that troublesome folder will be gone too.

This has happened to me before and I successfully used an app called Unlocker. It's a very small file, and is also free-ware.

Had that problem a few years ago until I discovered that little gem.

I can't seem to install this on W8, it starts to do it but the installer closes part way through.

exfarmer, as mentioned in this thread (and as you have found) Win8 can be finicky, have you tried running Unlocker as administrator (right click)?

Unfortunately it does the same thing when I run as administrator. I go through the installer unchecking all the "add ons" that are included with the installer, then it starts to install bu closes itself down.

Looks like I might be stuck with this folder, it's only 15mb. But not being able to delete it makes it all very suspicious.
