Got told off...

Want to know how of if you can do the following..

Say I post a set call it SET 1

How do I then link the set if say it included certain examples that would allow it to also be posted in a

1. A position thread
2. Girls hair colour thread
3. Say her expression thread
4. An action thread

Thus SET 1 may have examples linked to it the 4 other threads ?

How do we do it ? As am sure this helps members

You posted the original set in two parts. You then posted the same set in another thread with the appropriate cross links although with 20+ images from the image set which I edited as a favor to you rather than delete the post. As I let you know, 4 images is sufficient to let members know what you are linking to.

Then you went on to post the same images in 7 additional threads with no cross link to the original post despite knowing that is what is required and with 10 -20 images in each post.

From the General Modern Topics rules:

-Do not post the same images throughout different threads.

In addition, you made the additional posts after I sent you a friendly PM advising you against posting in that fashion, a message you've received multiple times.

You clearly understand how to post cross links as seen in this post:

If you will only post as above you should avoid further issues like you've had in the past and today.

I believe that it is the correct way... better to avoid putting in taster photos of what the sets looked like and just did a simple link.

Probably the best way to do it - cheers again for the guidance...

From my point of view all cross linking or links in general should have a sample
Rules that say they shouldnt should be revised

A link without a sample is like a filehost without Caps - Useless
No description ever comes close to showing whats on offer

Given the amount of recycled clips that are used in compilations even more so

The only thing you need avoid with cross linking is posting the same material in too many threads all at once.

The last thing someone whose viewing the forum via whats new or a single section wants to see is the same pics over and over whether their in images or linked...

The explosion in volume of images on vef makes discipline and thought by posters more important all the time. I recently clicked on a thread for "denim" & found some huge sets, a few pics of which showed denim, or had anything to do with it. The same sets might be posted in other threads on the same "basis". Yes, I can go to what I like, but if this kind of posting prevails, = chaos.
Selecting some images = Why is your set in this thread?
I understand Mods being liberal, also why they might delete entire post.
