What more can one possibly say about this brilliant celebrity? Please do share your memories of your favourite films. What a legacy... gone now since 1980 but never ever forgotten! Please give Rafael this message if you see him...

There is a superb biopic of him starring I think Geoffrey Rush, evidently he was not a nice man in real life, Spike Milligan once tried to stab him.

Pink panther movies (NOT the cr@ppy new ones)

Those films have me in bloody fits of laughter everytime.

I've got the DVD Box set of all his Pink Panther movies. Another GREAT movie of his was Doctor Strangelove! That one shows just how good an actor he was. Every one else is playing one part and he's doing THREE. I also love the scene when Slim Pickens rides the hydrogen bomb. What a classic. :>)

My mother and her friend phone up and speak like Min and Henry Crun from the Goons-Peter was Henry and Spike Milligan was Min. There is a famous outtake left in one of the Panther films-I think its the second one, but its where Sellers as Clouseau confronts Christopher Plummer as being the Panther but he makes an error, where he should say "You are sir Charles Litton, the famous Phantom," it actually comes out as "you are sir charles phantom, the famous litton!" and it was so funny it was missed or kept in.

What a coincidence GM, I watched that last night on Film 4, that bit is famous and was left in.
I have also just bought Goon the CD's from ebay, havnt started them yet, I'm looking forward to it, I'm 49 so missed out on it all but grew up with a brother 5 years older who constantly spoke in all the voices.

I know slightly off topic, apols, but just had to say, Rush is quite brilliant in almost everything I've seen him in. I remember him in Shine (another biopic) and he just blew me away. Sorry guys, back to thread.

I like the fact that Sellers co-stars had to fight to stop laughing their guts out because sellers was so naturally funny.
