I can't believe I am posting this but????
Just watched Bernie Sanders on State of the Nation. I actually agreed with a lot of what he says he stands for. |

I am not voting for him, but at least he is raising this important issue which will hopefully be brought up in the next GOP debate.

I never thought I would agree with Donald Trump on anything. While I agreed with his assessment of Rosie O'Donnell, I also agreed with her assessment of him, so they cancel each other out and don't count.
In taking a swipe at Hillary for her aide, Huma Abedin, having access to sensitive information, he speculated that she could be passing that information along to her disgraced husband, former Representative Anthony Weiner who now works for a public relations firm, calling him a "perv". Trump is absolutely correct about Anthony Weiner in my opinion, the man is without a doubt a "perv". Score one for the Donald. |

I doubt if my vote would go to Presidential candidate Trump but his message does resonate with me
The fact that he controls the situation all around him, shouting down reporters, so his message does get heard is nice President Trump , I doubt it but we still have 14 months to go. |

Saw something a while back in one of the local weeklies that suspected maybe a quarter to an eighth of the 15,000 people that showed up in Madison were conservatives. I think he's going to do pretty well if the rest of these pols just keep trying to show people "shiny things" while Bernie talks about things that matter. |

Trump has brought up a few key issues that need to be discussed: illegal immigration (which costs us taxpayers in CA $10 billion a year), the VA scandal, China, building a strong military, and he doesn't care what others think about him -- a good thing in a candidate in a political environment where all politicians cower in a corner when the media challenges them over "controversial" statements. I don't know anything about his intentions and don't know if he should be president. But he is strong in the polls and showing the other candidates that if they want the nomination, you have to show some backbone and not be afraid to kick around the media when they try to blindside you. Jeb Bush finally got testy with a reporter when he was asked about the term "anchor baby." Jeb stood his ground and finally showed some energy that voters can relate too. It was the first time I actually began to like Jeb. The next debate should be very interesting. I'd personally like to see Carly included. She showed a lot of promise in the JV debate.

I would like input from posters with their opinions on the following. Hillary's email thingy. Patraeus was nailed because he knowingly had classified material at home and unsecured. Now Hillary is maintaining that she never knowingly sent or received any classified info. I have a hard time believing her though. Shouldn't the Secretary of State be intelligent enough and have enough knowledge of what is going on to know when at least some of her email communication is classified, even if it isn't labeled as such???
What are your thoughts?? |

In regards to the e-mail scandal, it IS a big deal, considering that classified information could have become available to individuals that would have done the U.S. harm. Dick Cheney recently mentioned a very important point: What if Hillary's private account was hacked? How can she be sure that whatever messages she is delivering to whomever are truly secret? http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/ch...rticle/2571157 Considering that the Clinton Foundation has taken donations from countries that abuse women (while she claims to be FOR women) and spends a lot of that cash on private jets... I can't simply buy that this is a SMALL deal.

The thing is, he's socialist lite. He's socialist in the northern European, especially Scandinavian sense. He's not a Marxist/Leninist/Stalinist/Maoist in any way. He wants the wealthy and corporations to pay taxes like they did 50 years ago. He wants education to be well funded for everyone including college students. He wants all people, no matter how poor, to have access to good health care. He wants veterans to be taken care of. These ideas are not actually all that crazy. The problem is that the right has moved much further right since Reagan. Reagan himself would be too far left for today's tea baggers. These days they're going after all help for the poor and constantly trying to get us into more wars. The military industrial complex rules. Eisenhower warned us about it, and we did not listen. The GOP and the tea baggers are decidedly anti-freedom, except for the freedom of white people owning and carrying guns. I don't agree with Bernie on everything but I like him better than Hillary and I like her better than anyone in the GOP clown car of candidates. I'd actually prefer Elizabeth Warren to Bernie but she's not running so she's not an option. People talk about how leftist Obama is. He's not a leftist. I would even say he's a bit right of center. An even bigger concern for me is that there are several SCOTUS members who are getting to the age where they may need to retire soon. Not one of the GOP candidates is likely to nominate anyone who won't make things worse in the SCOTUS, further abridging our basic rights. |

I was watching a show about 2 months ago ( I will find out which one ) and they were saying that all of the Secretary of States work e-mail is all considered classified and that they all sign paperwork to that effect, also whether the paper is marked or not it doesn't matter.
