Default Farr-Out Yolanda

.

Noticing a member had kindly thanked a couple of posts here on "Spanish Classic Stars" that I had prepared in late 2021 (my very ambitious trilogy called "Raising the Bar With Loreta Tovar") led me back, and now I'm noticing how our friend "Einsteinlove" has recently been carrying this thread's mantle in an impressive way. Our fairly new (for about one year) fellow member has been producing a flurry of posts on the Señoritas and Señoras from Spain for the last few pages. (Einsteinlove, if you are reading, try to also stick in the birthdays and IMDb links for these actresses, won't'cha? If the actresses have been covered on this thread earlier, reference to the introductory post in the form of a "Quote" would also better round out your presentation.)

It was the headlights from this shot below (from a post now on the prior page) that made me feel like a deer in the middle of the highway (in reality, what was above the neck caused the oncoming collision):

Quote:

First, however, let's get a better understanding of the lady. She was born on December 22, 1940 in Madrid, Spain, to a Spanish dad and German mom, the latter a dancer (part of the Farry Sisters, teamed up with Yolanda's aunt), an inspiration that made Yolanda first dream of being a famous dancer — what turned out to be the show business area she began her career with.

...
Tripping the light fantastic, beginning as a ballerina. Your guess is
as good as mine as to which one is Yolanda, in the next shot.

Her IMDb filmography reveals that she has appeared in nearly forty titles, beginning at age eighteen in a Cuban television series. Over the next decade, she found opportunities in whatever that country's film and TV industry offered, ending with Memories of Underdevelopment (1968), which was the first Cuban film to be released in the U.S. after Castro's Revolution. (Concerning a man who moves to Miami, Florida, after feeling the threat of imperialist invasion; sounds good to me.) Yolanda Farr has very fond memories of Cuba, referring to her time there as the "sweet accent of that unforgettable land" (as quoted in the ABC-Madrid newspaper article from below that came from this page).

Ms. Farr moved back to her native land, snaring a small role in her first film from Spain in 1970. Beginning in 1974-75 (around the age of thirty-four), her career went gangbusters, and she started to get hired left and right. The actress was in demand until the mid-1980s, when Father Time may have rudely begun to make himself better known. She continued with a few more screen roles until calling it quits in 2004.

In the spy spoof OPERATION MANTIS
(1985), she played an "evil technician."
I'm only guessing that's her.

I came across this YouTube video that celebrates Yolanda's time in Cuba, where the captures below (from before the end of 1967, as was claimed) came from. (That is, until the sexy shots from the film that will follow.) In the comments section, I was charmed to learn Yolanda herself communicated with her admirer, as well as another fan, at the age of eighty! The video's end featured a link to her own blog site, from which her admirer had taken much of the "Cuban" imagery from.
Code:
https://yolandafarr.blogspot.com/
She kept up this blog until 2015, with her last post sweetly beginning with, "My dear friends, I hope that my long absence has not made you forget me. I will tell you that after my leg operation I fell into a pit so dark and deep that the muses flatly refused to visit me. Likewise, I confess that finding them again is proving difficult for me."

Yolanda comes across as an artistic soul with a gift for words, as evidenced from a couple of her (Google-translated) posts that I have read. The following was dated July 5, 2014, and entitled, "Snapshot 123 - Oh, the Life of Artists":

Many think that the world of artists is a paradise full of laughter, parties, lights, freedoms and even debauchery. Nothing could be further from the truth, most of the time. Dazzled by the pageantry and beauty inherent to this profession, they cannot even imagine the amount of sacrifices, learning, renunciations, insecurities and disappointments that true devotees suffer.

Of course this is not the case of upstarts, of those who, due to having a graceful physique and a desire for adventure, adhere to this profession like obstacles to the shiny skin of a tuna. They do nothing useful, but they tend to enjoy, in too many cases and without any effort, the trips through the stormy sea of theater. Think about it; No other profession welcomes with open arms people without adequate education and even without real conditions. Now I am going to tell you about the high price that the practitioners of what I call “higher arts” have to pay for obeying their hearts..
.

As to what follows... uh-oh! Moving on, the way she expresses herself (which would no doubt be even more impressive in her original language) is pretty cool. Another example, this one from June 7, 2014 ("Snapshot 120 - An unbalanced mind"):

Whenever I have to share a negative experience with a colleague, my computer screen blurs before my eyes, the keyboard rebels under my fingers as if trying to dissuade me. But I must fight against my reluctance, since my purpose has always been to make you, dear readers, partakers of my most significant experiences. Good or bad. There are many, many wonderful people I have encountered in this profession. And I have spoken about them without sparing praise. I have lived glorious moments on stage and although some have been less so, in no case, in none, had a set of facts combined to make my work on stage become the closest thing to hell... There is mutiny, comrades, the highest point of which was settled on my head.

Still with me? I can't resist adding another of her passages (partly entitled, "The Euro Has Arrived," May 31, 2014), although it's not one that helps us learn more about the woman. I just found it intriguing, having never thought about how the transition to the euro would have affected some Europeans for the worse:

Assuming, with complete naïveté, that the morning coffee for which they (Spaniards) used to pay 100 pesetas would now cost them 0.60 euro cents, the surprise was shocking when it came time to pay. The merchants had decided, in the face of the government's impassiveness, that cents were too complicated and that it was easier to start with a round number; coffee now cost one euro.

.................................................. ..

Let's now move away from her mind and on to her body. Violines y trompetas (A.K.A. Violins and Trumpets, 1984), is a comedy where one of three musicians has a wife who is oversexed (what real man would complain of such a thing?), overwhelming the man, whereupon he asks his friends for help. (Leading to how "topics such as sex and its frustrations, how to repress the deepest desires and longings for love are discussed.")

In this film, the forty-four-year-old Yolanda did her best to cover up the good parts at practically all times, and the examples that show her off with some clarity are glimpses lasting onscreen for just seconds. I wonder how often, if ever, Yolanda consented to baring significant skin in her films from the 1970s.

The passion she displays is irresistible. See her in action from Post #717.

An exaggerated yell at the orgasmic moment.

Beginning photo offers a similar view to what first caught my attention.

...
Finally, the breasts are momentarily out. She may have thought she was in a repressed 1990s-to-current U.S. film.

...........
First two photos by Jesús Alcántara, with second one from 2007. Last, the most recent view, from September
2015, in Malaga, Malagueta Beach. Yolanda was seventy-five.
