Thanks, I went and read the ElfQuest wiki and it makes no mention of any sort of separation. But I know that isn't true because it was the big big news at Gen Con and ShauConn I think 1998? If there wasn't a divorce there was certainly a separation. I'm glad to hear that they got their problems sorted out. I remember the woman who was co-owner of the bookstore that I worked at part time crying her eyes out over it.
Anyway, thank you for updating me. Richard Wendy always seemed like such nice folks.

The writer that has me pissed off the last few years is Rothfuss. I never would have started the series if I'd known.

The Modesty Blaise novels by Peter O'Donnell are perennial fixtures in my reading list - just adore the combination of action, humour, plotting and character byplay. I think the two I've re-read the most are "Sabretooth" and "A Taste for Death."
"Pavane" by Keith Roberts is another that begs to be re-read on a regular basis - and not just because it's set in South Dorset where I grew up. Lastly I'm forever re-reading the short stories of Robert E. Howard, Clark Ashton Smith, H.P. Lovecraft, C.L. Moore and Leigh Brackett. |

anyone else just not able to get into the Iron Druid books?
I've tried a few times in the last couple years and it just ... meh... and I wander off.

All Five Volumes of 'The James Bond Omnibus' of comic strips (Titan)
While searching for an image that showed the covers of all five volumes (in which I had no luck) I did find an 'archive dot org' entry for volume one: The James Bond omnibus. Volume 001 This is a strip that wouldn't have shown up in any USA newspapers, too risque, especially in the later volumes.

Recently revisited the brilliant Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger.
A true coming of age book, probably more famous for the reading of choice of Mark Chapman immediately after killing John Lennon. |
