Everything you have to know about the Model ID Request (MIR) section:

Before you start reading the rules, let's get clear about the term "model":
A model is a female celebrity, glamour-, softcore- or hardcore babe and at least 18 years old. It is not a random amateur without any appeal to modelling (hidden or overpainted face) or who was shot without knowledge/agreement of being published in the internet (which can be taken as granted for any women, who don't pose and don't smile into the camera). We also tolerate requests for males or shemales but don't include those requests in our model directory. But please don't focus on male/shemale requests only.

In addition to the main Rules of our Forum, this section expects that you are a frequent contributor to this forum and

A) post just 1 Model ID Request per thread,

B) post not more than 3 request threads per day,

C) don't bump your own or other members requests,

D) don't ask ID's for non-professional models (no random amateurs),

E) do not hotlink images from exterior sites,

F) post all Model ID Requests in this section,

G) post preview pics when you request IDs, add references when you solve requests

H) Don't post Useless Comments And Thank You Posts

I-Z) and finally thank the helping members and enjoy this forum by sharing respect for other members tastes and thoughts.

if you don't like it, don't go into it.

Any post that does not follow our guidelines A - F will be silently removed and we also reserve the right to shoot the poster if it happens more than once.

A) Post just 1 Model ID Request per thread

This means if you have a gallery or an image with 2 or more girls you like to know, you have to start a separate thread for each girl - except the request is about twins. Even if it's a bit more work for you, you save us much time and help us to stay on track with the established workflow of announcing solved IDs with the thread title.

The problem is not having 2 or more final names in a title, the problem is having one or more still unsolved IDs in a thread which is partially solved. This would make it hard to differ between solved and unsolved requests and it's always a bit chaotic when people start discussing over multiple unknowns in one thread - the focus gets lost soon. Beside, taking care of such threads would take much more time.

B) Post not more than 3 request threads per day

This means that you can't flood this section with all your requests at once. Be fair to other members requests, you are not the only one who wants to know a model name.

C) Don't bump your own or other members request

This means that this section wants to keep the focus on new requests and new content for existing/unsolved requests. Finding short replies, thanks or beauty-judgements is NOT HELPFUL to solve a request. So please avoid it. Instead, you always can PM a member or add a visitor message on his profile page to adress nice comments for his request or his attempt to help solving a request.

Furthermore you can simply click the button to give credit.

If you don't get response on your request, do not bump it! If you don't get a response, it simply says: "We don't know" in most cases. And you don't have to be afraid that your request gets lost if it's a really nice one. After a period of time, an unsolved request will be moved to the well observed Mystery Box.

Keep in mind that any try to just bring a request back on top will be removed - same issue with double posted requests.

These examples are unwanted if it's the only type of words you like to add. If you add them with useful content (further images, hints to find the solution or the solution for an ID itself), nothing speaks against to post them.

D) Don't ask for non-professional models (random amateurs)

There are several issues we don't want those requests here. The 2 most important issues are: Being unaware of model age and being unaware of invading peoples privacy by using those images.

E) Do not hotlink images from exterior sites

Don't hotlink images from publisher or tgp websites. Also don't link directly to those websites, instead upload those images to an imagefile host like imagevenue or use anonymized URLs by adding http://anonym.to/ in front of your reference. Keep in mind that this website shouldn't be auto-detected by publisher websites.

Under no circumstances link to other forums, streaming content websites except youtube, blogs or torrents or pages that require membership to reach its content.

Exceptions for forum links, and only allowed in model ID request section, are:
- Forum of EurobabeIndex
- Forum of egafd/bgafd
- AdultDVDTalk Forum
- DefineBabe Forum
- Freeones Forum
- PeachyForum
- Forum of Pierre Woodman (only allowed with "http://anonym.to/")

other Forum links are still not allowed.

Don't use a forum link as exclusive content of your request - you can add a forum link but have to provide own material.

F) Post all Model ID Request in this section

We have set up the Model ID Request as a service to help you, so please use it. Our members aren't very pleased about finding ID questions in subscribed threads if they think their favorite thread was filled with new content.

G) Post preview pics when you request IDs, add references when you solve requests.

That means that you don't let the members you asked for help do all the work to research a gallery which depends to your request. the only exception we tolerate: you just have a gallery or a movie "in mind" and can only describe your request by memory.

If you add a preview pic, always upload those images to allowed imagefile hosts like our own upload plugin, imagevenue or imagebam. Never hotlink animated gifs or HQ fullsize images in this section. Take care on other members bandwidth and if you want to use animated gifs, insert only the link to the image and mark them as animated gifs.

Finally, when you are able to solve a request, it would be more than just helpful if you add a reference to ID databases like iafd, egafd, ebi or bgafd. Also you can link to a model thread of our forum. Only if a model is really well known and "easy to ID" it is ok when you just drop the name for the member who requests an ID. He will easily find more stuff by himself and we moderators aren't in need to find the proof in those cases anyways.

Also, if you are not absolutly sure with the ID you like to solve, make this visible with your post (like saying "maybe she is..." or "she reminds me of..").

H) Useless Comments And Thank You Posts

These are not allowed anywhere on the forum, however Model I.D is a little different from the rest of the forum. Here a little chit-chat can be helpful in solving the requests so in this section only that rule is a little relaxed. But chat posts need to contain useful information that could help solve the request. We will not accept short, pointless and thank you posts.

Moderators reserve the right to decide what posts should be removed and remove them without warning or explanation. Continuing to regularly post in this way can result in an official warning being issued.

Think before you post, Does it help with solving the request?, is it useful information? If the answer is no then don't post it.

I-Z) Thank the members that are helping you!

Click for every member who tried to help you - always use the button and never add your thanks with a post (if your post doesn't contain further useful information).

Finally, if you reached a name, it would be a nice gesture if you post more stuff of the model - if you have more. Either to the model thread or - if this one didn't exist yet - to your request thread which then will become a new model thread we move to the correct model section if at least a small gallery ( > 10 images) was submitted.

Famous last words:

We really don't need members who are misusing the model id request service just for selfish reasons! It's a basic rule of our forum that it's a give and take. Disregarding this policy can lead to a direct and irreversible ban.

A-Z Profile Directoy of Solved Requests

This image-driven goodie, which is a permanent part of the Welcome thread, offers a huge bunch of alphabetically ordered contact sheets of our solved ID requests. If you have some spare time you should check it out. You can decide if you want to download the all-in-one solution, including an "also known as" document, or if you want to browse the categorized directories which are filtered by different types of interests:

A-Z Directory : Each month with all [solved]* models of the past month.
Categorized Directories : Each quarter.

The Mystery Box

Many requests which weren't solved during the regular lifetime (9 months) will be collected here. Because we don't allow the bump of requests, this service makes sure that a nice request will gain a "permanent phase of attention" as long as noone is able to "unfold the mystery".

Update of thread : 1 x per month with additions and asap if a mystery gets unveiled.

The Helpers Hall Of Fame

This is a goodie for all the helping hands of this section, the leaderboard of our helping hands. Your name will enter this list as soon as you were able to give 10 correct IDs. Moderators stay non-competitive - we help solving requests but don't show up in this ranking cause this feature is just for you, the members.

Keep in mind that only solved ID's from the main Model ID Request section counts (so neither from ID Projects nor from any other VEF subforum). Also just the first correct answer gets the credit, except if an additional post adds the needed reference for a hard to find model.

Values:
Regular ID Requests: 1 ID point each solved request
Mystery Box Requests: 5 ID points each solved mystery model
10 ID points: 1 Star in the Hall of Fame

You will achive no points at all if you solve requests which are against the section rules (multiple id requests, requests by members who aren't yet allowed to start requests, ...). you will also achive no points if you solve requests outside main(!) model id request section, so as well no score for identifiying models in ID projects.

Gain the usertitle "Certified ID Expert" and be allowed to start unlimited requests in your personal model id request project thread by solving 500 requests (or 100 mystery girls).

MIR Update Log

Every solved request has to leave the Model ID Request section (MIR) after ~4 weeks. We think that this is time enough for the requesting member to find a given answer.

The most of these finished requests will be removed from the forum, except those requests which have a new gallery, a new movie. The Exceptions are listed in the Update Log so you can find the new location. Even if this feature is more relevant for moderators you may find something useful here, too.

A) How can i add an image to my request?

Since we have disabled the attachment option you need to have an image stored somewhere in the internet.

If the image is stored by an image file host service like imagevenue or imagebam you can use the bbcode which is provided by those services to place thumbnailed images with your post. If you aren't familiar with those services, you may like to read through one of our many guides: Guide to Imagevenue and first try out posting images in our Test Forum before you post in the content sections.

If the image is part of a tgp gallery, please do not hotlink these images by using IMG-tags. Instead, please only add the url to the gallery.

Keep in mind, that if you want to take advantage of having thumbnails with your post, you have to upload those images to an image file host service first.

B) How can i make a preview image from a movie clip?

Beside the movie clip itself, all you need is a small software like Image Grabber II (Windows) or Screengrabber (Mac). Create the preview and then upload the preview image to the image file host service of your choice.

C) I want to link to a post of a member, but how?

The easy way:

Right click in the top right corner of the post you want to link, copy the post url and then paste it to your post

The not-so-easy way:

Click on the post you want to link. Copy the quoted message into your post (it doesn't matter if your post is located in a different thread) and remove all needless parts of the quoted message (keep a max of 4 images). Then add your own post below the quoted part. From each quote you can jump to the original full post of a member by clicking (connector-button):

There are several ways you can chose, the best way is always the way you feel comfortable with.

Use folders on your hard drive.

Create a base folder, f.e. "My Requests". Then, for each of your request, add a separate folder in your base folder. Add a URL shortcut of your request to this folder or add the Post ID to the folder title. Also, you can add all your available images for this request to this folder. If you are an Image Collector, this is a recommended way to exclude already requested profiles from your other models.

Use browser bookmarks

Create a new folder in your browser favorites, f.e. "My Requests". For each of your request keep a bookmark in this favorite folder until it's solved.

Use advanced forum search (you have to be logged in)

Visit the Model ID Request Forum, click "Search this Forum" / "Advanced Search" and then enter your username in the related field. Finally click "Find Threads started by User":



Then click "Search now" and you will receive a list with all requests you've added here. Our workflow helps you to fast-detect if your request was already solved.

Use subscriptions (you have to be logged in)

Subscriptions are similar to bookmarks but have the advantage that you get a notice if something new happens with a subscribed page - like a newsletter. You can have this notice via email if you want. But also you can always check the startpage of your "User Control Panel" (User CP) to get a quick view about subscribed threads having new content. Believe me, the system is more easy than this guide looks like.

Choose "Subscribed Threads" in the "Quick Links" menu.




To create a separate subscription folder for your requests, click edit folders, type a folder name (f.e. ID Requests) and then save your folder settings:




To subscribe to a post, just visit the thread you want to subscribe to and choose "Subscribe to Thread" from the Thread Tools menu. If you have different folders for subscribtions, choose the desired folder in the next step. If you want to receive an email with each new post to your subscribed thread, choose this option below "Notification Type". Finally click "Add Subscription" to finish the action. That's all.



Now that you are subscribed, you will always be informed about new posts added to this thread. And may some of you will find the answer, why we don't like to have short reply comments in our forum .

E) My request is gone, what happened?

This can happen by 5 reasons:
1. Your request is solved since weeks and already moved out of the section

If you start a request, you should keep on track with it. Most solvable requests will be answered within hours, some others need some days and maybe some different images/info. If you forget about your request it can happen that you won't find it in the request section. Is this the case, you may find the correct name in the updates for solved requests - either in the latest update for the A-Z Profile Directoy of Solved Requests or in the month-based MIR Update Log.

2. Your request wasn't a model ID related request and was moved to the correct forum

Easy as it is, in this section we take care about Model ID request. A model is a girl, woman, mature, celeb, softcore or hardcore babe. We also tolerate requests for males but don't include those requests in our typical workflow. But don't focus yourself on male requests only - this forum is definitly the wrong place for this desire.

3. Your request wasn't well formed or messed up and got trashed

Any request which didn't take care on posting rules usually get trashed. Sometimes silently, sometimes with a notice and sometimes we just edit your errors out if they aren't bad and easy to fix. Always take care on the posting rules of this board and the guidelines for the request section. Also try to find a way to get comfortable with bbcode. We have a Test Forum for those purposes.

4. Your request is still in the request section but you just can't find it

Read D) to find out more in this case.

5. Your request was removed because you have no permission to ask for model ids.

F) Solved, *solved, solved*, xsolved, wtf?

Don't think about. The main information you need to know is that a request is solved if you find this prefix in the title of a thread. Only moderators can change thread titles - so you don't have to take care about it if your request was solved.


The different versions depend to the availability of a profile picture for the A-Z Directory:

[xsolved] : "Request is solved but a profile pic needs to be chosen".
[*solved] : "Request is solved but no good profile pic is available"
[solved*] : "Request is solved and we have a profile pic already"
[solved]* : "Request is solved and a profile pic will be added with the next update"

As i said, you don't need to know

If you need a reason for the "x", sort request forum by thread and reverse the sorting order.

G) I've solved several requests but i'm still not listed in the Helpers Hall of Fame! Why?

It takes about 4 weeks that a post which carries the correct answer will be moved to the Helpers Hall of Fame Post Count Buffer (a thread starter should have some time to find and thank the answer). And you need at least 10 posts in this buffer to gain your first star which makes your name being a part of the list.

Please remember that only the first correct answer on a request will be credited and the request itself has to be a "well formed" request regarding the board and section rules. So no creditds for solved IDs in unwanted multiple ID requests. And also no credits if you solve your own request .

H) A rule that disallows me to say "thank you" isn't cool at all! Why can't I say thanks to a member?

We know you mean well by doing so. But having a longtime experience with message boards and "making a board comfortable" we have learned that thankyou-replies disturb the flow of content. And if you think about it, you would agree that it's no real problem to avoid such posts, cause a message board offers multiple possibilities to be thankful to the members. If you want to give more credit than just the thank-you-button, no one stops you from writing a nice and personal message (PM). Or leave a visitor message on a members public profile page. OK?

I) I get an error notification when i try to start a request. What have I done wrong?

You've done nothing wrong, you just haven't earned the privileges to start an ID request yet. Please first be contributive to this forum and receive at least 150 thanks. Then come back and try again. For more, read this. Do not make ID requests elsewhere in this forum.

A) ID Name research:

Internet Adult Film Database (iafd)

Biggest ID database for female and male hardcore actors. Allows to search actors based on scene pairings and much more. Highly recommended if you just know a movie title - or the name of one actor/actress of a scene - then the "check scene pairings" function is priceless.

European Girls Adult Film Database (egafd)

Like iafd, recommended if you just know the movie title. Egafd is limited to european publishers only and doesn't offer much usability and the navigation is a mess. But it offers many profile pics for models you can't find elsewhere, especially vintage stuff.

British Girls Adult Film Database (bgafd)

Sister page of egafd with same (bad) look and feel. Predominantly limited to british and several scandinavian publishers.

Eurobabe Index (ebi)

The best place to seek for modern, eastern europe models. Nice seach options for those who want to seek models by websites (like svntn, ddfprod etc). Don't forget to check the inner content for more, f.e. the great index of Prvte Magazines

The Nude

The best place to seek for modern euro babes who appear in titles like MET, Femjoy, MCNudes, Hegre, Domai, Nubiles, Sapphic Erotica etc. Cool options: You can search for models by gallery names or photographers. Beside many covers you will also find lots of assigned promo galleries.

Kelly Find

Get results from 8000+ professional models between celebrity and pornstar by using an easy to use combo search (ethnicity, hair color, breast size, age and profession). Results lead you to a profile info page with (very small) bio and a list of TGPs.

indexxx.com

indexxx is a very large database of babes and pornstars. Here you can find their latest bio's, photos, free galleries and videos. It is one of the few sites that lists the current Karups PC database it can be found via the following path
indexxx.com > photo sets > Karups PC - the models can be found either by KPC names, set names or one can browse quickly through it chronologically. (all credit to cesium )

B) ID information and content research

Sure you can find IDs on these pages by just browsing around but there are no real search options which help you like the websites of section a).

Babe Pedia

The Wiki of Nude Models and Pornstars. Beside a profile pic you can find much background informations here.

Boob Pedia

The Wiki of Big Boob Models, similar to Babe Pedia. Meanwhile good and stable server performance.

The Ebony Models Directory (emd)

Medium sized directory for the lovers of dark skin in a disappointing layout (background color enhances risk of eye cancer ).

Best Pornstar Database (pbdb)

Cocky title but a deeper look proofs a huge amount of profiles with many image-driven tgp-galleries, many of them in great quality. Don't capitulate in front of the ads you receive when clicking the first galleries. after about 10 different ads this behavior stops and you can visit each gallery without ads (even those where you reached an ad before). Also beware of "mixed" model dirs with galleries of different girls who share the same first name. Hint: You gain a much better return of content if you open galleries in a new tab - just hold <ctrl> when clicking a gallery thumbnail.

The official Website of Rec.Arts.Movies.Erotica (rame)

The grandmother of internet based information about porn which was created by a bunch of usenet guys. You'll find multiple categories with useful stuff, so if you want to dig deep in the history, you should visit this place. Best known by its List of Dead Porn Stars. Too bad that other sections aren't up-to-date anymore.

Define Babe

Huge A-Z collection of Pornstars and Softcore Models - Profiles include bio information, promo galleries, promo clips, filmography (only titles you can buy @definesexmovies.com - which is often more than listed at iafd) and (if exists) an assigned model thread of their forum.

Freeones (FO)

If you prefer quantity over quality this is a good place to dive in. You can find many models here but if you're seeking for an ID, you are lost. Keep in mind that FO is industry-driven, you see multiple gallery duplicates in the model dirs and you will also find multiple galleries which don't belong to a model. Because of the quantity, no one was able to take care about quality. anyways, they have a good searchengine where you can search for different model properties (nationality, body type, hair- and eyecolor..). credits to buttsie for this hint.

Porn Teen Girl (PTG)

like ebi or indexxx this directory is widely based on european girls in porn, but you find a lot of models from other regions here, as well as some classic pornstars you usually won't meet at ebi. it has a good search engine which also offers a tattoo search and the model profiles give you some tgp galleries next to bio and movie information.

Data18

Data18 is a mega porn database where you can browse and find all your favorite pornstars, adult movies
