Also on the losers list, David Lejonhelm, who announced on Twitter last month his election to the NSW Upper House only to be pipped at the post today.

He's blamed his failure to win a seat on a lack of "voter confusion" which is how he got into Senate in 2016. In other words he's a victim of voters being too smart.
