Another thing that doesn't make sense about all this. You don't have to be enrolled at a university to attend the games or parties. It's not like there are armed guards at the gates checking for student IDs before they let people on campus. Seeing as how she was never likely to graduate, her parents spent a half a million dollars, just so she could go to games and parties.

But if you're going to do that, if you're going to buy your kid into a school just to claim my kid goes/went to university X, why USC? Why not Harvard or Stanford or Yale? USC isn't anything special...I don't care what they claim. It's no better than the University of Kentucky, or Arizona, or Indiana. The USC campus, IIRC, sits in a part of LA that is basically a warzone. Now I could be thinking of UCLA, but one of the two of them is located in a really bad part of LA.

Ms Felicity Huffman has gone to prison, even if it is only 14 days. That's going to be very hard, a federal prison, for someone who has had a soft life. I feel for her family, who must be pretty gutted to see where she has gone; and no doubt they will visit her there and experience the sensation of hearing the doors close and the locks turn.

She did what she did. The sentence is lenient and she has had the good taste not to ask for pity. There will be 250 hours of community service to follow and I don't envy her that either. But she has to eat her humble pie, every last crumb. Hopefully she will not ruined for life by this brush with the law, merely given a hard lesson.

I don't know if anyone else has been incarcerated yet. Inevitably some other people will be.
