Does anyone understand why people want to hear porno soundtrack?

I almost never have the sound active for pornos. No story, no plot. Nothing to listen to except "uuurgh!" "argggh" "faster" and "fuck my ass"

It was a little different in the Vintage era, but more often than not they say nothing worth listening to, so why care about soundtracks?

Having no noteworthy dialogue is an extra reason to have a soundtrack, i'd say

I enjoy the words spoken & get annoyed when music intrudes.
As well as the moans of pleasure I like hearing the different accents but I always listen with headphones - don't want the neighbours thinking I am a porn addict!

I guess royalties and other permissions would've been insurmountable.

Aside from an early Alice Cooper Group entire recording and Wall Of Voodoo's 'Ring of Fire', mostly everything else is/was forgettable.

I think that music often adds continuity to video edits and makes edited video more of a cohesive whole.
Particularly with things like Stagliano's compilation trilogy ala 'Breastography' which was very short clips, very heavily edited and based around a pseudo funk soundtrack. These were kind of like a porn video jukebox. Virtually no dialogue, aside from brief groans between one piece of music and another.
Memorable to me only because Blondi Bee was in them.

sometimes you find a clip that has subtitles which puts you off - but the audio is original and you can hear all the real sounds of sex with no dubbing. Just watch out for the terrible choice of inappropriate music thrown in to cover up the directors chit-chat.
