She is an ex Virgin Atlantic air stewardess and I think they are given instruction what to do,if the plane ditches in the sea and how to survive. I would have thought she would also know how to make her clothing buoyant, perhaps a jacket or trousers or some kind of clothing that can be converted-as many of us once had to do with pyjamas at swimming lessons and learning how to survive. Mind you one expert reckons she had a distinct advantage being a woman as they have more subcutaneous fat than men so can float better.
